We make our community stronger.

At the Harp Dhillon Group, we've learned that making an impact takes not only financial support, but also ongoing initiative, commitment, and collaboration. That's why we’ve established a foundation of our own, and why we proudly partner with local charities, foundations, and clubs that do so much to help our community prosper.

Our involvement

Stroke Recovery Association of B.C. - White Rock Division

Stroke Recovery Association of B.C. – White Rock Division

The Stroke Recovery Association of B.C. has locations all over the province, including right here in South Surrey. Their funding is currently very limited but, their impact on stroke patients in recovery is immeasurable. A retired doctor, who is a volunteer for this association, explained to us that while stroke patients receive excellent care in the hospital, once discharged, their recovery resources are very limited. The goal of the Stroke Recovery Association of B.C. is to address this and provide cost-free rehabilitation for those on their journey of stroke recovery.

Upon learning about this association and the incredibly important support gap they work to fill, we reached out to make a donation. If you would like more information on the Stroke Recovery Association of B.C., please feel welcome to reach out to us directly!

RBC mosaic multicultural event

RBC Mosaic multicultural event

Harp, Ranu and Dayle were thrilled to attend an RBC multicultural celebration. The event was unique in that most of those who attended wore outfits from their cultural background, which made the diversity in the room wonderfully prevalent. We had the opportunity to enjoy a traditional dance from the Smokey Valley drum group, who, as you can see, were kind enough to take a picture with us. The evening also featured a TEDx speaker who shared his story about coming from Syria after facing unbearable hardship there. He spoke of how coming to Canada saved the lives of himself and his family. Employees of RBC also shared their stories of coming to Canada and how the inclusiveness of Canadians helped them make Canada their home. It was a wonderful event to be a part of!

Surrey Food Bank

Helping our local community is very important to us at the Harp Dhillon Group. The Surrey Food Bank often faces a shortage in the Fall and it worsens as Christmas approaches. We are happy we can do our part to help. If you are looking for ways to give back to the community, let us know. It's a discussion we would look forward to.

RBC Blue Water Project

The RBC Blue Water Project is a wide-ranging program dedicated to protecting the world's most precious natural resource: fresh water. We support initiatives that help protect water in our growing towns and cities, such as Crescent Beach, B.C., which you see pictured here. We also promote responsible water use with our employees and clients, are committed to reducing our own water footprint, and encourage the growth of water businesses.

Surrey Hospital & Outpatient Centre Foundation

Surrey Hospital & Outpatient Centre Foundation

We are proud to support the second largest hospital in our province – Surrey Memorial Hospital – through our contributions to the Surrey Hospital & Outpatient Centre Foundation (formerly Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation). This foundation champions exceptional care for patients and families living south of the Fraser, raising funds not only for the hospital but also the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre. Their support includes innovative equipment and projects that help Fraser Health attract the best doctors and health care professionals to work in Surrey.

Our foundation

Harp established A Canadian Hand Charitable Foundation to support reputable charities that directly impact our local community. We are constantly striving to make contact with and support new initiatives – and help our clients do the same. If you are interested in creating a foundation of your own, talk to us. We can help amplify your impact through a personalized, coordinated, and tax-efficient philanthropic plan.
