Branch Director
As Branch Director of the Hamilton and Ancaster offices, Garth’s role covers leading, coaching and managing high performing teams at RBC Dominion Securities. His specific focus is on the clients and the advisor teams of our branches, in giving back to the local community, and working with RBC partners to ensure our office delivers an exceptional experience.
Garth brings over 25 years of experience in the industry. His entire career has been spent at RBC Dominion Securities, joining the firm in the Summer of 1997 after graduating from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Finance and Economics. At the beginning of his career, Garth started in the Associate role before moving to the Training Group with our head office, covering all of Southwestern Ontario. Garth then became an Investment Advisor, and a few years later had the opportunity to join the Dominion Securities management group. Over his years as Branch Director, Garth has had the opportunity to manage the Brantford and Simcoe offices, the St. Catharines and Niagara Falls offices, and currently, since 2013, the Hamilton and Ancaster offices.
Garth’s expertise and leadership helps our Hamilton and Ancaster Advisor Teams deliver the highest level of wealth planning, portfolio management and client service.
Associate Branch Director
Alison is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, where she obtained an Honours BA with a major in Applied Economics. Her previous industry experience includes a number of years in a variety of progressively senior roles at a leading investment fund manager. A firm believer in ongoing education, Alison acquired the industry designation of Chartered Investment Manager and continues to pursue additional courses and licensing to expand her capabilities.
Alison works closely with Garth in providing leadership and support to our Investment Advisors and their teams in the Hamilton and Ancaster branches. She is focused on coaching, management, compliance and strategic initiatives.
Catie joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2021 after several years as a District Vice President at one of the world’s largest asset managers. As Associate Branch Director in Hamilton / Ancaster, Catie works closely with advisor teams to support business growth, career development and drive the overall strategic focus of the branch. Catie uses her previous experience by helping teams apply best practices in client service, investment management and process.
Catie graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration, focusing in finance and economics. As a strong believer in ongoing education, Catie is currently pursuing her Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation. Outside of the office, Catie’s passions include cooking, travelling, and spending time at the family cottage on Lake Huron.
