As a native Newfoundlander, born and raised in Carbonear, Greg graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours (Co-operative) degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland in May 2001. Concurrently, he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Economics. Greg was awarded several scholarships in recognition of his academic achievements. Upon graduation he commenced his career in the financial industry as an Investment Advisor with RBC Dominion Securities in St. John's, Newfoundland.
The Financial Planner Standards Council has accredited Greg with his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. The CFP is the only internationally recognized designation in financial planning. Completing it demonstrates Greg's commitment to providing clients with superior investment expertise and financial planning advice. Greg, in recognition of his top performance in the examination, was named to the prestigious President's List consisting of the top five scoring candidates in Canada.
Also, since he started with RBC Dominion Securities Greg received an Award of Excellence from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI). Greg received the award for placing within the top 1% in Canada in one of his ongoing courses at the CSI.

Greg and his wife Rosemarie live in Paradise. They have three children, Luke, John and Kate.
