Portfolio Manager
As Portfolio Manager at Glenn Private Wealth Management, Spencer leverages nearly two decades of industry experience to provide his clients with carefully considered wealth and investment strategies tailored to their unique needs. He believes that strong communication and continual engagement are essential to building a successful client-advisor relationship, and he takes the time to fully understand his clients’ goals and objectives. Spencer’s standard of care, coupled with his understanding of the markets and research-driven process, have helped him gain a reputation as a trusted advisor.
Spencer holds an MBA from the S.C. Johnson School of Management at Cornell University and a Bachelor of Commerce in finance from the University of Calgary. He is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and is well versed in all aspects of wealth management, including portfolio management, risk management, and financial planning. Spencer additionally has extensive experience in investment banking, having worked on a variety of equity and debt issues and advised on numerous mergers and acquisitions in the Canadian capital markets.
A native Calgarian, Spencer enjoys hiking and camping in the mountains, and travelling with his wife and their four children. Spencer is an active community leader outside the office, volunteering for school and church initiatives, and fundraising for the Calgary Food Bank and KidSport Canada.
Associate Advisor
Leaning into an affinity for client service and a consistent growth mindset, Gillian works as an Associate Advisor for Glenn Private Wealth Management. As the first point of contact for many of our clients, she is responsible for overseeing account management and documentation, assisting with portfolio management and trading, and helping our clients have a full understanding of their financial situation through the creation and implementation of financial plans. In all that she does, Gillian leverages the skills and knowledge she developed in her previous roles in operations and technology at RBC Dominion Securities.
Gillian is a professional musician, having received a Bachelor of Music in flute performance from the University of Victoria. She holds both her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and her Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designations.
In her free time, Gillian finds joy in being active through running, strength training, and spin classes, and additionally enjoys spending time with her family and her West Highland white terrier, Poppy. She also has been playing the flute periodically with the Calgary Wind Symphony and other groups across the city.
