Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial mathematics from Laval University. An actuary’s primary focus is to calculate the probability of future events, and he applies these skills in his investment management and financial planning practice. Eric is also a licensed financial planner from l’Institut Québécois de Planification Financière and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute, a highly coveted designation that can only be achieved after successfully completing a series of rigorous exams.
Prior to joining RBC Dominion Securities, Eric took on several key roles at a leading financial institution catering mostly to health care professionals. He was one of the firm’s senior portfolio managers and was named Vice-President, Chief Operating and Financial Officer. During this time, Eric was not only a board member but had a seat on the firm’s management, investment and compliance committees. He also took on the onerous role of Chief Compliance Officer, heading the trading and technology departments. In addition to these important functions, Eric managed part of the firm’s Canadian equity mutual fund.
Eric’s thorough understanding of capital markets and investment products, coupled with his diverse investment management experience, make him an astute and proficient advisor. He puts your interests at the forefront of everything he does.
Family is very important to Eric. He and his wife of 26 years, Alyssa, are the proud parents of Sara (age 24) and Patrick (age 22). Eric’s favorite pastime is our national sport, hockey, which he developed a love for early in life at his childhood arena.
