Canada's Competitiveness in an Intangibles Economy

I’ve read with interest, the most recent Public Policy Forum (PPF) report. The purpose of this publication is to discuss Canada’s competitiveness and why it matters. It takes us on a journey through significant issues such as where we stand globally and how the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) means that work activities in Canada could be displaced with automation by 2030.

The all-important question is posed, “How does Canada win in a data-driven economy…”. It is clear that in order to be successful we need to be more conscious of “innovation policy” (IP) which includes the gathering of “innovation assets” – i.e. the data and talent that creates it.

I encourage you to dive into the report, as it is well-written and thought provoking.
