Kelly Kotello, B.Comm., CPA, CA, CFP
Financial Planning Specialist, Family Office Services, RBC Wealth Management
Kelly is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with over twenty years of post designation experience. Kelly completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree (major in Accounting) at the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. She has also completed Level 1, 2 and 3 of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and is a Certified Financial Planner.
Prior to joining RBC, she was a tax manager at one of the leading international public accounting firms. Kelly specialized in providing tax preparation and tax planning to individuals, owner managers, corporate and high net worth clients.
Kelly’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans.
Coady Cormier, BBA (Fin), LL.B, TEP
Vice President, Business Owner Specialist, Family Office Services, RBC Wealth Management
As a Business Owner Specialist, High Net Worth Planning Services, Coady, together with your primary RBC advisor, helps you explore succession, tax, retirement and estate planning issues you face as a business owner.
In addition to providing planning assistance to business owners (including incorporated professionals), Coady provides planning assistance to executives, retirees and individuals with U.S. issues. He also assists individuals facing significant financial events (for example, sale of business, financial windfall, retirement, severing residential ties with Canada, etc.).
For more than 20 years, Coady has assisted high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families with their complex planning needs. Coady is a tax lawyer, and he has occupied his current planning role at RBC since 2008. In providing planning information to clients, Coady frequently communicates with their external professional advisors.
Coady’s educational background includes a law degree from Dalhousie University as well as the completion of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada’s) In-Depth Tax Course (Levels I, II and III) and the CPA Canada’s Tax Issues for the Owner- Managed Business Course. He is a member of both the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta Branch (South)) Tax Specialist Section. Also, Coady was called to the Bar in Alberta and Ontario. Further, in addition to his finance degree from Bishop’s University and the completion of the Canadian Securities Course, Coady is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Trevor specializes in tax and estate planning for high-net-worth families. Prior to joining RBC, Trevor operated his own tax advisory practice and was a senior tax partner in a large multi-national firm environment for over 25 years. In these roles, Trevor has provided various advisory services for highnet-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals as it relates to mergers and acquisitions, succession and family planning, business expansion, employee equity and compensation planning, cross border taxation, estate planning and other tax planning. Trevor is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and his educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with distinction) from the University of Alberta. In addition, he has completed the In-Depth Tax Program (levels I, II and III), as well as completed the courses, Advanced Tax Issues for Owner Managed Businesses, and Corporate Reorganizations. He has also tutored the various In-Depth Tax courses for CPA Canada for a number of years. Trevor is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and has presented and written tax papers on several tax topics over the years.
Avideh Parent, LL.B, TEP

Avideh Parent is an experienced lawyer with a strong commitment to educating people on the importance of estate planning. Avideh is a frequent presenter on Wills and Estates for organizations such as the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the City of Edmonton, Next Step Continuing Education, and the Edmonton Community Foundation. Avideh also has been featured on Global TV, Shaw TV, and various financial education websites.
Avideh received her undergraduate degree from Carleton University and went to Law School at the University of Alberta. In 2001 she was called to the Alberta Bar and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta. Avideh holds the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, granted through the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Prior to joining RBC in 2012, she devoted her law practice to Wills, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration.
Avideh is also very active in the Latin dance community, and enjoys travelling the world to perform and compete with her husband in salsa dance competitions.

Danielle L. Bryant, B.Comm., CFP

Danielle is committed to delivering a positive and professional client experience with a hands-on, collaborative approach that prioritizes each client's unique estate planning goals and needs. She focuses on providing exceptional service by fostering clear and effective communication between clients and their advisors. Danielle takes the time to understand each client's situation, creating a tailored strategy to help achieve both short-term and long-term financial goals.
With over 10 years of experience at RBC, Danielle continues to expand her expertise in the industry. Danielle has earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and she is passionate about using her knowledge and experience to support clients and positively impact the community.
Outside of work, Danielle and her husband, Mack, enjoy exploring the mountains with their two dogs, Charlie and Gus.
Katie Brunet draws on nearly 15 years with RBC. She works with her team to create sophisticated banking packages, wealth and legacy planning as well as high-end credit solutions for her clients and their families. She has an extensive background in business banking that she also draws on when working with business owners to provide creative wealth management strategies.
Katie's primary goal is to provide a tailored and customized wealth management solution for her clients. She works closely with specialists throughout RBC to provide a tailored suite of services - including complex credit solutions, cash management, business solutions, and estate and tax planning.
Katie has completed both her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designations, and has obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Born and raised in New Brunswick, she enjoys travelling east to visit her family on her time away, and also likes to spend her free time skiing, biking, or enjoying outdoor activities.
Russell Kane brings over 30 years of experience to his role as Regional Trust Advisor to the Southern Alberta market. His depth of knowledge, coupled with his professionalism and dedication to client service, serves him well in dealing with the complexities of estate settlement.
Russell provides tailored solutions to help individuals carry out their many executor duties, expedite the settlement process, and maximize the estate’s value through knowledgeable handling of estate and tax issues. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Calgary, and works with allied professionals to keep abreast of current issues involving estate planning.
Russell understands that the role of executor is a difficult one and will take the time to make sure that clients are aware of the complete range of estate, trust and charitable resources offered by RBC. He helps executors to identify where RBC can help to lift the burden of estate administration, whether assisting with specific tasks, or in a more comprehensive manner carrying out the entire estate settlement process on their behalf.
As a highly skilled Regional Trust Advisor, Russell can discuss estate settlement and administration services, trustee services, trust structures, and other specialized services offered through RBC Royal Trust. He works with individuals, families and businesses who wish to protect their assets and transfer their wealth for generations. Clients also appreciate his sensitivity to the often difficult decisions and sometimes overwhelming responsibilities that can go hand in hand with estate administration.
Active in his community, Russell is an active member and past President of both the Rotary Club of Calgary Centennial and the Kinsmen Club of Calgary, the Treasurer of the Kinsmen Club of Calgary Foundation, and Chair of the Calgary Stampede Lotteries Committee. He served as Board Chair and Director for the Big Brothers and Sisters, Peace River region, and for the CanLearn Society in Calgary.
