Ed brings more than 15 years of experience in the investment industry to his role as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Financial Planner at RBC Dominion Securities. He works primarily with affluent individuals and families, healthcare professionals, business owners and U.S. citizens living in Canada. Ed currently holds both the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations, along with securities, options, derivatives, insurance (LLQP) licenses and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).
Prior to joining RBC Dominion Securities, Ed captained and played for the Canadian National Men’s Rugby Team from 2001 to 2012. He made 57 international appearances for the national team and competed in the 2003, 2007 and 2011 Rugby World Cups. Since retiring from the national team, Ed has been inducted into the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame and the BC Rugby Hall of Fame.
Ed’s philanthropic efforts have centered on giving back to different communities across the country. He has been involved with KidSport, The Canadian Rugby Foundation and Habitat for Humanity. He currently lives in South Surrey with his wife and two daughters and can be found most weekends volunteering his time coaching their various activities.
