Senior Portfolio Manager & Investment Advisor
Michael has been providing comprehensive wealth management and investment advice to individuals and families, investment holding corporations and family offices for over 25 years. In collaboration with an extended team of industry-leading RBC experts, Michael assists clients with financial and retirement planning, insurance solutions and Will and Estate consultation. Michael’s foundational commitment is to manage wealth by design, not by default. As such, his wealth management strategy is founded on goal-driven financial planning, and he draws on both his experience with pension fund asset management, as well as his formal education, to form successful, long term client relationships.
With a firm belief that education is a cornerstone of a fruitful client experience, Michael strives to have every client understand, on an ongoing basis, the rationale for their asset mix and individual holdings.
A graduate of Queen’s University, Michael holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in finance and accounting. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, is a licensed Portfolio Manager with RBC Dominion Securities and is a licensed Investment Counsellor in the United States through the RBC Wealth Management PC USA program.
Michael lives in Toronto with his wife Michèle. His recreational time is centered around family and his passions for skiing, golf, mountain biking and playing the bagpipes.
Senior Portfolio Manager & Wealth Advisor
Craig’s journey to the wealth management industry has been one of hard work and dogged determination. Always one to seek out ways to improve his skillset and grow both personally and professionally, he is relentless in his pursuit of providing a world-class service to his clients. “The responsibility I have to care for my clients’ wellbeing is something I take very seriously,” says Craig, whose approach is built on trust, integrity, and proficiency. “It all starts with a long-term plan that ensures they’re well positioned on all fronts.” Born and raised in Hamilton, Ont., Craig attended Queen’s University, where he earned a degree in economics and played varsity football. After graduating, Craig’s passion for athletics took him to Denmark, where he played professional football for a year. Back in Canada, Craig began his financial career at the retail arm of another leading institution and worked his way up to branch manager. Shortly thereafter, he transitioned to the capital markets side of the business, having earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, a globally recognized mark of peerless distinction in the financial industry. In this role, Craig helped produce research that was recognized by Thomson Reuters StarMine Analyst Awards for top stock picking and earnings estimation accuracy. Committed to continued education, Craig has also completed significant independent coursework, including 11 courses offered through the Canadian Securities Institute. In 2014, Craig made a move to RBC Dominion Securities. Following his deep passion for investments and his love of forming meaningful relationships with clients, he became an investment advisor and built Thompson Wealth Advisory from the ground up. Today, Craig taps into his deep industry experience to lead a full-service wealth management practice with a strong focus on planning. “I genuinely care for my clients,” he says, “and sleep well at night knowing I didn’t leave any opportunity to improve their financial situation on the table.” Craig lives downtown Toronto with his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons, Jack and George. Outside of work, he is passionate about athletics, is a member of the University of Toronto Track Club, and competes in Canadian and international Masters track and field events. Craig is also a past recipient of the Toronto Police Services Community Member Award.
Senior Associate
Donna has worked as an Associate supporting Michael Eastmure and his clients for over 25 years. With a strong work ethic, exceptional industry knowledge and a commitment to client care, Donna has every client’s full confidence that their accounts are well looked after. “I have had the privilege of knowing our clients for decades,” she says. “I have seen them go through many pivotal life experiences and have been happy to provide a service that hopefully makes the road for them a bit easier.” Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, account administration and providing portfolio management support, Donna also manages all aspects of compliance as it relates to regulatory requirements. In addition, she provides expertise in cash management recommendations and equity and fixed income trade execution. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Donna obtained a Bachelor of Science honours degree. A firm believer in ongoing education, she has completed the advanced industry Certificate in Advanced Investment Advice from the Canadian Securities Institute.
Noushin is a wealth management professional with almost two decades’ worth of experience in various roles at some of Canada’s leading financial institutions. Dedicated, passionate, and always eager to learn, Noushin worked her way up from the position of customer service representative to assistant branch manager at another bank prior to joining RBC as an associate in 2012. As a valued member of Eastmure Thompson Wealth Advisory, Noushin prides herself on supporting clients with all administrative tasks, from answering inquiries and retrieving documents to delivering reports and placing trades. She sees it as her role to provide the best possible service to clients by taking ownership of her work, and she leverages her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Education from the University of Tehran to educate clients in their finances and provide peace of mind. “I try to treat every client like they’re my only client,” she says, “and aim to get them the answers they need to move forward.” Outside of work, Noushin enjoys spending time with her husband, Moe, reading, watching movies, and travelling, especially to different regions of Spain.
Associate
Kris has spent over 20 years in the financial industry in a variety of capacities. His passion for finance began when his father taught him chess as a child, where he learned how to analyze, anticipate and strategize. This love for analytical study led him to De La Salle University where he pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Management of Financial Institutions and a Master of Business Administration. A firm believer in ongoing education, Kris has also completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH). In his role of Associate, Kris performs client servicing functions such as opening accounts, facilitating deposits and withdrawals, trading securities, and other administrative tasks. In his spare time, Kris pursues his passion for running – he ran his first marathon in Toronto in 2023.
After starting his career in marketing, Josh transitioned to the world of Wealth Management, fueled by an innate passion for finance and a desire to make a tangible impact on the lives of others. Over the last five years, he has brought his keen understanding of consumer behaviour and strategic communication to his role as a licensed Associate, recognizing the importance of storytelling and effective communication in building trust with clients. Josh believes that Wealth Management is not just about numbers and financial planning, but also about connecting with clients on a deeper level – understanding their goals and providing personalized service. Known for his exceptional leadership skills, Josh thrives in high-pressure environments where attention to detail is paramount. His ability to meticulously analyze market trends and identify opportunities truly sets him apart and makes him a valued member of Eastmure Thompson Wealth Advisory. Outside of work, Josh enjoys travelling, cinematography, and learning new languages. He is fluent in Spanish and understands the rudiments of Mandarin.
