Before Terri joined the industry, she received some financial advice that did not align with her values or her goals. This experience served as the catalyst for her transition to a career in wealth services. With an insatiable curiosity and an eagerness to learn, Terri absorbed as much information as she could about investing and wealth management, achieving many notable accreditations along the way.
Today, she proudly leads Dickson Family Wealth, where she continues to promote education, expertise, and above all, empathy. As a team, this is the key to our success – we’ve been in our clients’ shoes, and we never forget it.
Senior Portfolio Manager & Wealth Advisor
“At the end of the day, people are looking for simple, easy to understand solutions,” says Terri, and she understands her clients’ need for financial peace of mind more than most.
For 20 years, Terri managed and co-owned a successful dental clinic before becoming a wealth and financial advisor. The reason for her career change was twofold. First, she had experienced poor investment advice and the resulting losses that followed. Second, she believes that those who work hard to build their wealth deserve to feel financially secure. “I know what it’s like to have one frustrating experience after another,” she says, “and having this experience – knowing what it’s like on the other side – allows me to give better advice.”
Guided by strong curiosity and a desire to help people, Terri has obtained several industry-leading accreditations, including Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Financial Management Advisor (FMA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA). Today, Terri puts her industry knowledge to good use by making finances simple for our clients. She is incredibly skilled at translating complicated concepts into concrete numbers for clients. “People deserve to know what the right number is to achieve all of their life goals,” she says.
One very important goal for Terri is the ability to travel. “Travel gives me better perspective and understanding,” she says. Globetrotting, and documenting their adventures through photography, is a shared passion for Terri and her family.

“In any customer-facing role, you want to do what’s right for your client,” says Phuong. With over 25 years of experience in customer service management, working in both retail banking and Dominion Securities, Phuong knows the importance of delivering tangible value to clients. “I always strive to provide the highest level of service for our clients so they can live the life they want.”
A master coordinator, Phuong provides crucial support to Terri – she’s essentially the team’s “hard drive.” She handles client requests, coordinates the wealth management portion of our practice, and ensures that every team member is set up for success. A self-described “banker at heart,” Phuong leverages her wealth of knowledge to solve complex problems for clients.
Prior to joining Dickson Family Wealth, Phuong obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and she continues to elevate her education by taking courses on financial planning.
Phuong is married with a daughter. When she’s not keeping everyone on track at work, she can be found working out or going for long runs. She also enjoys baking as a form of stress relief – during the pandemic she perfected her sourdough bread.

“I just want to make people happy,” says Allie. “And I found the best way to do that is finding small ways to improve processes.” Most people wouldn’t associate happiness with process, but Allie has a very good reason to do so.
After graduating from the University of Northern British Columbia with a degree in biomedical studies, Allie embarked on an adventure that would shape her future career. “While working in Kenya, I found the power of business,” she says. As part of Harvard University’s division of global health and human rights, she observed how implementing simple process optimizations changed the future of a local hospital.
Feeling inspired, Allie went on to earn her Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of British Columbia to help organizations bring business principles into their daily lives. She did so successfully for a number of health technology companies before joining our team in 2019.
Today, as an associate for Dickson Family Wealth, Allie remains focused on optimizing processes. Taking a high-level, big-picture approach, Allie supports our team’s growth by running events and spearheading new marketing initiatives.
When she’s not expertly improving our client experience, Allie trains biathlon athletes as a coach. As a former biathlete, she takes great pride in being able to pass on her love for the sport and it gives her the opportunity to tour the world with her team. In addition to being well travelled, Allie is a self-proclaimed cinnamon bun connoisseur.

“Getting to know our clients and making their lives easier is one of the best aspects of this role,” says Christine. Providing exceptional customer service is something that Christine takes tremendous pride in because, as she puts it, “When our clients are happy, we’re happy.”
For more than 20 years, Christine has worked in customer service for various financial institutions, starting as a teller and working her way up to assistant branch manager of customer service. In the latter, she focused on managing, coaching, and deescalating challenging situations.
Christine then moved to a role where she supported private banking for high-net-worth clients, with a focus on sports professionals, where she assisted with their day-to-day banking needs. Today, as an associate for Dickson Family Wealth, Christine supports our team with client onboarding and facilitates all client documentation and requests as the first point of contact.
Christine lives in Vancouver with her partner, Dave, and their young daughter, Victoria. They enjoy biking, traveling, and artistic activities.

“I’ve always had a passion for investing and behavioural finance,” says Arthur. “Growing up I wanted to be a vet like my mom, but surgeries made me squeamish. So, that made my decision for me.” At 16, Arthur and his family moved from Jakarta, Indonesia to Coquitlam, B.C., and he’s lived in the area ever since.
For over a decade, Arthur has excelled in financial services, having previously worked as a structural designer for roof truss systems. He leans on his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in addition to finance and commerce diplomas from Douglas College to help clients maximize their time and their investment portfolio.
In 2016, Arthur joined Dickson Family Wealth, where he implements investment policy decisions and strategies as an associate advisor. He specializes in fixed income and currencies and often serves as a first point of contact for client questions on portfolio performance and transactions. Arthur enjoys sharing his insights on the markets and continues to enhance his knowledge with additional industry courses, including the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) Course, and Wealth Management Essentials (WME).
Arthur and his partner, Liz, enjoy going on foodie adventures around Vancouver – trying different foods, restaurants, and experiences – all, of course, with their miniature schnauzer mix dog, Willow.
