About me
Born and raised in Hong Kong, I was shaped early on by a culture that values education, discipline, and hard work. I later went to the U.S. for university in Hawaii on a full merit scholarship. I supported myself through university and graduated summa cum laude while balancing academics, work and community involvement, an experience that shaped my early relationship with money and how I think about financial decisions.
More than chasing grades (though I certainly tried to do that too!), I've always been driven by curiosity and a natural desire wanting to understand how things work and why they matter. That same mindset followed me into my professional life, where I've worked across the investment landscape, from a global financial institution like UBS to a boutique venture capital firm supporting founders and investors
Whether I was preparing research on companies, industries, and economic trends to support investment pitches and roadshows at UBS or helping analyze and manage investments in emerging startup companies at a venture capital firm, my focus has always been the same: understanding the full picture so better decisions can be made.
To me, knowledge only becomes powerful when it's used to create real-world impact.
Why Me
Over the years, living, studying and working across different countries and cultures taught me an important truth: financial decisions are deeply personal. They're shaped by your values, your life stage, your responsibilities and your vision for the future.
No matter your profession, income, or background, financial success starts with one thing: a clear, personalized plan, supported by advice you can trust.
That belief is what shapes how I work with clients today: thoughtful, research-driven and dedicated to helping people make informed, meaningful decisions grounded in what actually matters to you.
Why I Do This Work
My decision to become an investment advisor is deeply personal.
I was raised by a divorced mother in a family of four girls, without access to professional financial advice. I saw firsthand how overwhelming money decisions can feel when you’re already balancing work, family and everyday life, and how much calmer things became once even a small plan was in place.
Those early experiences shaped my belief that everyone deserves access to clear, honest financial advice, no jargon, no judgement, just advice that fits your life, no matter where you're starting from.
That's why I do this work:
- To help you find the direction and confidence that wasn't always available to my own family.
- To help protect what you've built and support what you're striving for.
- To make financial decisions feel easier, not heavier.
And for those who prefer a long-term approach, and don’t want their lives filled with the day-to-day mechanics of managing money or spreadsheets, that’s exactly what I'm here for.
Outside of Work
When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking, swimming and running. I love calling my parents (who eventually remarried each other), my three sisters, and my six nieces and nephews. I also enjoy exploring every corner of Toronto with my husband, whether it's discovering great sushi or pizza, visiting small towns and cultural festivals, hiking nature trails, relaxing at a quiet spa, or occasionally escaping winter for somewhere sunnier.
