Senior Portfolio Manager & Investment Advisor
A seasoned veteran in the financial services and investment industry, Paulo holds over 25 years of experience with RBC Dominion Securities. He has held various roles throughout his career from Branch Director to Senior Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor. Today, Paulo is proud to lead his team in his client-centered approach and is passionate about building a close relationship with his clients. He takes the time to uncover our clients’ personal and financial goals which in turn allows him to create long-term personalized solutions.
Paulo has a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance from the University of Calgary. Committed to ongoing education, Paulo has obtained some of the top designations in the industry, such as Chartered Investment Manager (CIM). He uses his experience to expertly navigate clients through market cycles as well as the ongoing changes, challenges, and opportunities in their lives. Recognized for his knowledge and passion, Paulo previously represented RBC Dominion Securities on the Alberta District Council which plays an important advisory role with respect to regional, policy, and business-related issues.
Born in Portugal, Paulo lives in Calgary with his wife and their three kids. In 2015, Paulo sailed and trekked the world with his family, visiting a total of nine countries. In his spare time, he enjoys downhill skiing and biking and is an avid traveller.
Associate Wealth & Investment Advisor
Tama joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2013 with decades of experience in the financial services industry. Her previous positions at other financial institutions have given Tama a well-rounded knowledge in wealth management. As an Associate Wealth and Investment Advisor, Tama is responsible for coordinating wealth management services such as financial and retirement planning, estate planning, and insurance services. Tama also handles a select group of client relationships.
Tama is a graduate of Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has earned her Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation, the premier credential for financial planners, along with her insurance license. This empowers her to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients and identify opportunities to improve their financial picture.
Outside of the office, Tama enjoys spending time with her husband and their two adult children camping, hiking, and boating in Koocanusa, British Columbia. She is also enthusiastic about the arts and enjoys photography and playing the guitar and piano. Tama is also a proud member of an organization that funds women’s education across the globe.
Investment Associate
Diane has over 10 years of financial services experience, having joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2010 and DaCosta Private Wealth in 2016. As an Investment Associate and the team’s primary trader, Diane skillfully handles a series of investment-related activities with a careful eye to detail and a problem-solver’s mindset. She is responsible for assisting Paulo with portfolio management, trade executions, portfolio modelling, rebalancing, cash flow management, research, and tax-efficient strategy.
Diane graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Science degree and has since completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) from the Canadian Securities Institute. She continues to look for opportunities to deepen her knowledge of the investment industry and its various components.
Diane lives in Calgary with her husband and young son. They enjoy the great outdoors by camping, snowboarding, and biking. In her spare time, she also appreciates the challenge of a good puzzle.
Associate
Angelica joined RBC Dominion Securities in early 2019 and quickly became an integral part of the DaCosta Private Wealth team. Leveraging a background in customer service, Angelica is a true people person with a friendly and inviting attitude toward her work. She is the first point of contact for clients and takes immense pride in answering all their requests in a timely fashion. As an Associate, Angelica oversees daily account transactions, portfolio documentation, client reporting, and client service.
Angelica is a graduate of the University of Calgary with a degree in Economics and minor in Management and Society. Wanting to deepen her understanding of the investment management world, Angelica also completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course from the Canadian Securities Institute.
Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Angelica has called Calgary home since 2012. She enjoys staying active through various activities such as boxing, kickboxing, and yoga. Angelica is also an avid traveller and makes it a point to visit a new country once a year.
