Dr. Curran first worked as an Associate Professor at Memorial University before moving with his wife to the Okanagan in 1993. In the Okanagan, he built a very successful Neurology Movement Disorder practice. Upon becoming an Investment Advisor in 2002 Dr. Curran gradually transitioned from the medical profession, but still continues as a clinical instructor at UBC Dept of Medicine teaching second year medical students.
Dr. Curran obtained the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation, and is an Associate Portfolio Manager with Dominion Securities after acquiring his Portfolio Management license. As an Associate Portfolio Manager Dr. Curran is able to participate in the RBC Dominion Securities Private Investment Management (PIM) program. The PIM program offers the highest standards of investing in the business, allowing Dr. Curran to implement discretionary investment management for portfolios, which is designed for ease of portfolio implementation and is an excellent fit for busy high net worth doctors and dentists.
His wife Louise is a Speech Language Therapist and they have 2 teenagers, Liam and Ailish. They all enjoy sports such as skiing, hockey, soccer, biking, and water sports.
