Running Reflections: What are the stories we tell ourselves?

What are the stories we tell ourselves?

Are they shaped by our experiencing mind or our narrating mind?

The story I tell myself.

The story you tell yourself.

The story we all tell ourselves.

Is that story truth?

Is it fiction?

Or is it somewhere in between truth and fiction?

Life is a continuum.

Yet, as humans,

we crave patterns,

we seek structure.

A or B?

North or South?

Beliefs → Thoughts → Feelings → Actions → Results

What we believe shapes what we think.

If we think we can, we act - and that creates a result.

If we think we can’t, we don’t - and that’s a result too.

So, what story are you telling yourself as you step forward in your business?

Join Me for Coffee and Community Impact

Running teaches me endurance, resilience, and the power of tiny steps - values I carry into every aspect of my life, including mental health advocacy. This year, I’m combining my passion for community connection with my commitment to mental health support through a new initiative.

I’m pledging to Ottawa Salus, an organization providing housing and support services for adults with mental health challenges. Over this year, I’ll be hosting 52 ‘Coffee and Conversation’ sessions, where we can connect, share ideas, and create impact.

How It Works

  • I’ll treat you to coffee.
  • I’ll donate $20 to Ottawa Salus for every conversation.
  • I invite you to match my contribution to a charity of your choice.

Running connects me to my purpose, and I believe meaningful conversations can build stronger communities. Let’s make each coffee count!
