Running Reflections: Patterns and Cycles

Sunday Morning

Running Reflection.

Patterns.

Cycles.

How do we break them when they are not serving us?

Here’s an example from my running practice.

For the last 10 years, I have trained to run a half marathon in the Fall (Army Run/Toronto Harbourfront) and, each year just post race day I fall into a slump with my workout/movement/exercise regimen.

After my last half-marathon, I recognized the pattern returning.

So, I vowed to disrupt it and face this obstacle by looking for the opportunity within it. The opportunity to pre-plan some rest.

And to take it as slow as my body needs.

Join me for Coffee

Have heard about my 50 coffees effort? In gratitude for turning 50 in 2023, I’ve been enjoying an exciting challenge, and I'd be thrilled to have you on board. I will be having a series of 50 coffee dates – and guess what? One of those dates could be reserved just for you! Let's catch up, enjoy some coffee, and you can help me continue to celebrate in style.

I'm excited to share that I'll be making a $20 donation to an incredible charity for each coffee date. With a total of $1,000 set aside, I invite you to match my contribution with your own $20 donation.

Together, we can make a real impact!

If you’d like to join me for a coffee, drop me an email or a DM on LinkedIn, and let's coordinate our coffee connection. Oh, and don't forget to share your charity of choice – let's make our coffee dates count!

Humbly, I am asking for your help.

If you are someone who has been inspired by my posts about running, I could use your support in giving my writing a push.

DM me with something that inspired you today.

And share below how you stay focused or what you do to hit the reset button when you are tired.

TTFN, Colleen
