Mary Ellen Isenor, CPA, CA
Vice-President & Financial Planning Specialist, RBC Wealth Management Canada
Mary is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). She has received her Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie and a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University. Mary has completed and tutored the CICA In-Depth Tax Course.
Prior to joining RBC in 2008, Mary was employed as a Senior Manager, Tax where she specialized in tax planning for individuals and their owner-managed entities. During her career Mary has been employed by two of the large international public accounting firms and has a broad range of experience in mergers and acquisitions, business succession, estate and trust planning and overall tax minimization.
Mary’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans for clients.
Paul DeJager, CLU, CHS, B.Sc., MBA, CFP®

As a valuable member of your advisor’s team, Paul can help you create, preserve and increase your wealth by incorporating insurance solutions into your comprehensive financial plan. He is able to provide innovative and tax-efficient solutions to various wealth management issues.
Specializing in working with business owner clients as well as individual high-net-worth clients, he offers customized insurance-based solutions to meet your needs.
Paul has extensive experience in the financial services industry, having begun his career in 1998. Paul has obtained: a bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) from Dalhousie University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from St. Mary’s University. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Certified Health Specialist (CHS). He is also a member of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU) and Advocis.
Sharon earned a Community Services Diploma in 1986, a Bachelor of Public Relations degree from Mount Saint Vincent University in 1996 and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University in 2006.
Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, Sharon was in private practice with a large regional firm and practiced primarily in the areas of corporate commercial law, wills, estates and trust law, health law and medical defence.
Before pursuing her law degree, Sharon spent over ten years in senior executive and management roles within the not-for-profit sector for organizations such as Phoenix Youth Programs, the ALS Society of Nova Scotia and the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Sharon is a mother of five and a former foster parent. She has a special interest in disability law.
Sharon is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Halifax Estate Planning Council. She currently serves on the Board of Governors of Mount Saint Vincent University and is Chair of the University’s Advancement and External Relations Committee. Sharon has served as a director on several charity boards including the Canadian Bar Association NS Branch, the Northend Community Health Clinic, Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic, the Spina Bifida Association and Crime Stoppers Nova Scotia.
Sharon’s role is to work with and support your advisor by providing you with information on structuring your estate in an efficient and tax-effective manner.
Christy obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (Anthropology) from the University of Waterloo in 2006 and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University in 2009. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2010.
Following her call to the Bar, Christy was in private practice with a large regional firm and practiced primarily in the areas of Wills, estates and trust law and litigation. Beginning in 2013, she worked exclusively in the area of will and estate planning with a major trust company. Christy joined RBC Wealth Management in 2018.
Christy is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.
