Carol is the head of the Laursen Wealth Management team, one of the family run teams at RBC Dominion Securities. After 15 years in the investment industry, Carol joined the team at RBC as an Advisor. Carol works along a team of other financial professionals striving to help her clients reach their financial goals. With almost 40 years in the industry, Carol has proven herself as knowledgeable and trustworthy to both her clients and colleagues.
Carol’s proficiency in the financial industry has earned her the coveted Fellowship of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designation. This designation is one of the most highly recognized in the industry and is awarded to advisors who demonstrate outstanding educational achievements, dedication and experience in the industry. Carol is also recognized as a certified life license agent and a Financial Management Advisor (FMA) which allows her to help guide her clients through complex estate planning situations. She is currently working towards her Private Investment Management (PIM) designation in order to serve her clients even more efficiently.
Through her conservative approach, Carol is able to advise her clients on investment strategies that not only allow growth and income but also keep principal protection at top of mind. Most importantly, Carol strives to run her business on the utmost levels of trust and integrity. She believes that a solid relationship between client and advisor is crucial for both parties success.
Along with her work, Carol is a supporter of some of the local charities around Prince George. Some of the more notable are the Spirit of the North Health Care Foundation and the local Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society.
Although not originally from Prince George, it is the place Carol calls her home. She moved here as a young child with her family in 1971 and started her own family in 1992 when she married her husband Ken. Carol and Ken have been blessed with three children of their own as well as three grandsons. Carol and her family enjoy a leisurely lifestyle in British Columbia’s Northern Capital.
