Blair has over 20 years of experience providing investment advice and wealth management services to affluent and high net worth families. He joined RBC Royal Bank in 2002 and moved to RBC Dominion Securities Inc. in 2008. Blair attended Dalhousie University, and is a strong believer in continuous personal development. He has also obtained a number of professional credentials over the years, including Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

Outside of the office, Blair is an active member in his community. In the past, Blair served on boards such as the Colchester Regional Hospital Foundation as well as the United Way and is currently a board member at Maggie's Place.

Born in Halifax and raised throughout the Maritimes, Blair currently resides outside of Truro, in Valley N.S. with his wife Rosemary and their three daughters Victoria, Nicole, and Caroline. Blair enjoys golf, travel and family time at the cottage.

Melissa is an Associate to Blair Carter, CFP in the Truro branch of RBC Dominion Securities, providing administrative support.

Prior to joining RBC DS in February 2018, Melissa worked in several client-focused industries, including insurance, finance, banking, tax, and corporate sales. She achieved her General Insurance License in 2005, and Mutual Funds License in 2010.

Melissa received her Bachelor of Arts from Saint Francis Xavier University in 2005.

Melissa is passionate about music, hiking with her husband & black lab around Nova Scotia, and reading mystery novels.

Mary Ellen Isenor, CPA, CA, CFP

Mary received her Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University in 1988 and her Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary's University in 1990. She is a Chartered Accountant and has completed and tutored the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants' In-Depth Tax Course.

Prior to joining RBC in 2008, Mary was providing professional services to individuals and their owner-managed entities, specializing in tax planning. During her career, Mary has been employed by two of the large public accounting firms where she advised on the tax consequences of mergers, reorganizations along with estate and trust planning.

Paul deJager, B.Sc., MBA, CFP, CLU, CHS Estate Planning Specialist 

Paul can help you protect the wealth you have worked to build through innovative insurance-based strategies that minimize the impact of taxes on your estate. Paul has been employed in the financial services industry since 1998, and has extensive experience working with a number of Canada's largest insurance companies.

He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and holds the Certified Health Specialist (CHS) designation

Sharon Avery, BPR, LL.B

Sharon earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie Law School in 2006, a Bachelor of Public Relations degree from Mount Saint Vincent University (1996) and a diploma in Community Services (1986). 

Sharon was in private practice for a large regional firm, and practiced in the areas of medical defence, health law, estate litigation, Wills, estates, and trusts prior to joining RBC Dominion Securities. 

Sharon is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Halifax Estate Planning Council. She currently serves on the Board of Governors of Mount Saint Vincent University and on the Canadian Bar Association's National Standing Committee for Equality.
