What do you most passionate about in your business?
My favorite part of my role is educating my clients about the world of investing. In many cases, helping them to understand what is and is not important and alleviate any concerns so that we can keep our energy and attention on the areas that are controllable, while outsourcing the “hard to know” questions to those with the greatest resources, knowledge and expertise.
What do you see as the biggest mistake investors make?
I believe that many people fail to take the long term perspective when it comes to investing. Wealth accumulation is a function of savings, investing and time. Too often, current events, fears about economic noise as well as busy schedules tend to be a distraction that allow people to procrastinate and jeopardize their goals.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I am a father of 2 amazing children, my daughter is in university at Queens University and my son is graduating from high school this year. We spend lots of time together skiing in the winters and hiking in the summers.
I also love to travel and explore new locations.
I am always drawn to investment literature but I try to balance it out with other insightful and inspiring books on all topics.
