It seems we were just counting down the days to summer and just like that, we find ourselves halfway through summer already.

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
                                                                                                                         — Mother Teresa

It seems that “fire season” has become a household term lately and our hearts go out to everyone affected by the recent fires in Jasper.  We would like to extend our gratitude to the firefighters and volunteers who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.

We would also like to take a moment to congratulate Mark on his 10th Tour Alberta for Cancer (formerly Ride to Conquer Cancer) which he completed with Team RBC once again.  2 days and 208 kms not to mention the scorcher weekend all in an effort to help those going through treatment and recovery and to hopefully find a cure one day.

Creating a Beautiful and Lasting Legacy

Philanthropy plays a crucial role in addressing societal challenges. Its impact can be enhanced through a well-structured and strategic giving plan. When donations are made with a long-term perspective, alignment with one’s values and goals; this does not only benefit the beneficiaries but can also be rewarding to the donors. Through thoughtful giving, we can create a beautiful legacy and inspiration for future generations.

The value of having a strategic charitable giving plan in place

Navigating Lanes in Traffic and Investments

When driving, we assess the speed and flow of traffic and make split second decisions to switch lanes hoping to gain an advantage. In the realm of investments, changing lanes can be likened to adjustments in investment strategies. Roadblocks or the unpredictable behavior of other drivers (and other market factors) can add anxiety and risk with no guarantee that you will reach your destination faster.

In Markets as in Traffic, Impulsive Moves May Not Help You Get Ahead

Team Update

We are thrilled to share that the team has won a branch contest. The contest’s main goal was to meet certain key performance indicators for “Teams of the Future” which had four core pillars – Clarity, Competence, Communication and Commitment. This achievement will enable us to make a meaningful impact by donating to charities of our choice. We are proud to contribute to causes close to our hearts and excited to continue striving for excellence together.
