Albert joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2007 bringing over 15 years of financial services experience with him. Prior to his role as a Senior Portfolio Manager, Wealth Advisor & Financial Planner, he travelled across Canada as a consultant for RBC Dominion Securities, working with the top investment advisory teams to implement systems and solutions to better service clients. He has taken what he's learned from the very best and applied it to his own wealth management practice right here in Thunder Bay.
Albert believes in educating his clients on their options, while clarifying and simplifying what can be a confusing financial world. He has a wealth of knowledge and a team of experts that he can leverage to help his clients through every stage—from accumulating wealth to transferring wealth to the next generation.
His own education has been formative, and is firmly rooted in finance. He attended to the University of Toronto where he received a Bachelor of Commerce degree, and is continually taking industry training to ensure he is offering the best guidance to his clients. He has furthered this education and also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designations.
The CFP is the industry standard for financial planning and the most recognizable financial planning designation in Canada. It ensures that Albert understands the intricacies of a financial plan and includes consideration for taxation and legal aspects.
The CIM is the industry standard for discretionary investment and portfolio management services. It is recognized by Canadian securities regulators and ensures that those who earn it are qualified to evaluate and manage all aspects of a client's investment portfolio.
As a Senior Portfolio Manager, Albert is able to offer a premium level of discretionary wealth management through our Private Investment Management program, available exclusively to our private clients. It is designed to free you from the day-to-day details of managing your wealth, so you can pursue your own personal and professional goals. Only a select group of Advisors are able to offer discretionary portfolio services through Private Investment Management. Before being registered as a Portfolio Manager, an Advisor must have extensive experience in advising clients and substantial assets under administration. This is among the highest credentials an investment professional can achieve.
Albert and his family of four young children are proud to call Thunder Bay home. They are happy to be part of a wonderful community. Outside of the office, his interests include spending time with his family, travelling, playing basketball and enjoying the outdoors.
