Senior Portfolio Manager
Terry has been offering clients insightful financial guidance with a long-term focus since 1992. “We are more than just investment advisors or portfolio managers. We genuinely care about our clients’ well-being and the well-being of their families,” he says. Terry credits his success, and the success of his award-winning team, to always doing what is best for the client and a dedication to seeing our clients and their families prosper.
Leaning on three decades of industry experience – as well as earning the rigorous Portfolio Manager (PM) designation, advanced Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designations – Terry leads one of the top teams in the region. Prior to earning these esteemed accreditations, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration. His experience and education, coupled with his strong passion for investing, laid the groundwork for The Madison Group.
Terry believes that the road to financial freedom is built incrementally, and that our clients deserve to develop and understand their own roadmaps. With a proactive, transparent approach, and a robust review process, Terry helps our clients navigate the world of investment management and their overall wealth management needs.
Terry has been actively involved with the community through his work with several not-for-profit organizations. He is also passionate about mentoring the next generation, be it through financial literacy or career coaching.
Terry and his spouse, Anna, live in Barrie with their daughter, Madison – our practice’s namesake. In his off hours, in addition to family being a strong focus, Terry likes to stay active by cycling, playing tennis, or golf.
Associate Portfolio Manager
For nearly a decade, Hudson has been helping clients secure their financial futures. “As you build relationships with people, trust develops, and that’s how you can truly make a difference in helping people,” he says.
After earning his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph, Hudson joined RBC in 2013. Although always interested in the world of investments, Hudson began his career in banking and financial planning to better understand clients’ needs at various life stages. To enhance his knowledge, Hudson achieved one of the industry’s highest honours, the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation, and is keen to add to his credentials.
In 2016, Hudson joined The Madison Group, where he offers his clients the full scope of investment and wealth management services – and it all begins with a dedication to creating a plan. He also supports Terry with portfolio management research, which underpins our Private Investment Management services and The Madison Group’s investment management strategy.
When he’s not at his desk, or spending time with his spouse, Brittney and son William, Hudson is very active, whether it’s a round of golf, heading to the gym, or hitting the ski slopes. Hudson also likes to stay engaged with the local community. He participates in the RBC Future Launch program as a formal mentor for young colleagues.
Associate Wealth Advisor
With a love for helping others, Krista has gained an extensive and well-rounded knowledge of wealth management in her 25-plus year career in financial services. In addition to building client relationships, Krista is responsible for coordinating all of our client’s wealth management services. Krista cherishes her relationships with our clients and finds it incredibly rewarding to play a part in their multi-generational legacies, which is one of her areas of expertise.
While obtaining her diploma in Accounting from Canadore College, Krista embarked on her career at RBC as a customer service representative in 1991 and then joined RBC Dominion Securities in 1997. Elevating her knowledge remains a top priority for Krista. To that end, she has successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Wealth Management Essentials program (WME), and earned the title of Associate Advisor in 2022.
Hailing from North Bay, Krista spent seven years working in London, Ontario before relocating with her family to Barrie in 2004. Krista enjoys yoga, reading, and taking full advantage of Barrie’s outdoor activities whether it’s skiing, hiking, or relaxing by the lake.

Wendy’s ultimate goal is to set our clients and our team up for success. Her knack for solving complex problems has made her an invaluable resource for both our clients and our team. Having started her career at RBC Dominion Securities in 1985, Wendy completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), worked her way up through various client-facing roles, and she is known as one of our team’s most knowledgeable resources.
In 1995, Wendy brought her insightful knowledge and experience to The Madison Group. As Senior Associate, she provides essential high-level support by overseeing and proactively managing our team’s processes to ensure the best possible client experience.
Wendy grew up in Brampton, but currently resides in Cookstown with her husband, Walter. She is actively involved in the family’s hay farming operation. Walter and Wendy enjoy travelling and spending quality time with their children and grandchildren.
Kelly loves connecting with people, whether that’s through sharing stories, recipes, or even major milestone moments. As Senior Associate for The Madison Group, Kelly supports Terry by facilitating communication between clients, other professionals, and the team.
Kelly has over 25 years of industry experience, and worked for a major financial institution before she joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2009. She loves to embrace new challenges and she considers learning to be one of the most important ones. In addition to completing the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Kelly is also responsible for the team’s rigorous processes underpinning our Private Investment Management (PIM) services.
Born and raised in Montreal, Kelly, her spouse, Dave, and their two girls made the move to Barrie in 1995. A major hockey fan, Kelly remains loyal to her hometown and is an avid supporter of the Montreal Canadiens. When she’s not watching a game, she can be found reading one of her many cookbooks – her specialty is baking – with a cup of tea in hand.
Marketing Associate

Building and maintaining lifelong connections with our clients is one of the most rewarding aspects of her role.
After earning her Master of Business Administration degree, Anna joined RBC, where she worked her way up in various client-facing and national office roles in both commercial and retail banking.
In 2009, Anna joined RBC Dominion Securities. Today, as Marketing Associate for The Madison Group, Anna focuses on all things client experience, whether that’s facilitating client reviews or finding new ways to connect with clients.
Anna is passionate about giving back to the community and offers her time and support to a number of local organizations, where she hopes to contribute to creating stronger communities where everyone, and particularly our youth, have the resources to reach their potential.

No matter the problem, Tanis’s response is always, “I can help with that.” Clients and colleagues alike have benefited from her acute attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
For over five years, Tanis gained extensive experience as a client advisor at RBC Banking, where she assisted clients with day-to-day transactions. In 2021, she brought her keen understanding and can-do attitude to The Madison Group, where she provides critical support to the team in an administrative capacity.
Guided by her passion for numbers, Tanis obtained her Bachelor of Commerce with Honours degree from the University of Guelph with a specialization in Accounting. In addition, she completed her Diploma of Education in Medical Office Management and Administration from Georgian College.
Assistant
Where professionalism meets efficiency, Gagandeep (goes by Gagan) has a keen attention to detail and provides comprehensive support to meet diverse client needs.
After earning his Business Administration Advanced Diploma from the Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, Gagandeep joined RBC in 2014. Gagan took on many diverse roles such as a Client Advisor at RBC Banking, Investment Service Representative at RBC Direct Investing, and various operations roles and Communication Specialist at RBC Dominion Securities. In these roles, Gagan gained extensive experience and knowledge in building strong customer relations, a keen eye for detail and deep understanding of efficient organizational systems. In 2023, he brought his industry experience and client focused attitude to The Madison Group, where he provides critical support to the team in an administrative capacity.
Gagan currently resides in Barrie with his spouse Jyoti and two children. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and playing basketball on the weekends.
