Senior Portfolio Manager & Wealth Advisor
When they mention a local company on national news, you take notice, says Simone, a proud Sudburian who spent his childhood evenings tuned into mining stock coverage. With such an upbringing, it’s no surprise that Simone developed a keen interest in financial markets and aspired to become an investment advisor. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Laurentian University, and completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) before entering the world of commercial construction. Over the course of the next 14 years, he made his way up through the ranks as an estimator, project manager, and eventually general manager. “I learned a lot about hard work and persistence,” says Simone, who never stopped following the markets. In January 2001, Simone made the switch to wealth management and joined RBC Dominion Securities.
In the two decades that have followed, Simone has made a reputation for himself as a hardworking, driven, and knowledgeable advisor to his clients. True to his long-established passion, as co-leader of our practice since 2011, senior portfolio manager, and wealth advisor, Simone executes day-to-day portfolio management and modelling, informed by his own in-depth research. Simone loves explaining the “nuts and bolts” of investing to clients – the small details that can end up making a major impact. He is constantly praised by clients for going above and beyond, but according to him, it’s all in a day’s work: “When you enjoy something, you don’t look at the clock.”
Fluent in English and Italian, Simone is a Fellow of the Canadian Security Institute (FCSI) and a certified Financial Management Advisor (FMA), holding insurance and options licenses. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring all of the wonders that the scenery of Sudbury has to offer, spending time with family, fishing, and tending to his vegetable garden.
Associate Advisor
“Whatever I’m doing, I just want to help people,” says Matt, who chose to pursue a degree in Commerce at Laurentian University, a decision that led him directly to RBC after his 2012 graduation. After several years at the RBC branch level, Matt made the switch to Renelli Frescura Wealth Partners, bringing with him an undeniable love for the markets and a desire to uplift those around him.
As an associate advisor, Matt’s primary responsibility is to ensure that everything is functional “behind the scenes,” including preparing for meetings, executing trades, and assisting with client inquiries. Adaptable and inquisitive, Matt loves that no two days at Renelli Frescura Wealth Partners are ever the same – as he tells Simone and Beau, “This is exactly what I had pictured myself doing when I was younger.”
Originally from the small community of Birch Island, Ont., Matt now resides in Sudbury with his wife and daughter. If he’s not at work, he can likely be found playing hockey, watching the Leafs, or making indie music.

With a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Ottawa, it’s no surprise that Brandon excels at simplifying complex concepts – a skill he employs every day as an associate at Renelli Frescura Wealth Partners. Each day, he supports our team through documentation and processing, as well as answering client inquiries.
In everything he does, Brandon relies on the knowledge he has gained through the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and his professional background as an account manager at a local RBC branch. He thrives when helping others: “I’m passionate about finding the right solutions,” he says, a perfect summary of his determined, driven personality.
Outside of work, Brandon enjoys woodworking and 3D printing. On weekends, he can often be found outdoors with his wife and young daughter – hiking, gardening, or building.
Administrative Assistant
With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Valerie's work ethic, organization, and breadth of knowledge is undisputable. Starting her career as an Administrative Assistant with a local insurance and investment company, her dedication quickly transitioned her into Associate Consultant and Associate Estate Planning Specialist Roles. She brings this wealth of knowledge with her and continues to provide important insight around insurance and estate planning.
Joining our team in 2023, Valerie maintains a Mutual Funds License, Life Insurance License and is currently pursuing her Canadian Securities Courses. Valerie is the first point-of contact for the team, answering incoming calls, administrative needs, booking & managing of appointments and scheduling. Valerie is always ready to provide you with high-quality service.
As a proud resident of Lively, Valerie enjoys playing softball at the local field where she plays on two teams. When she's not at the field Valerie will often be found spending time with her family or setting up shows for her son's local band Mayhem Radio.
Client Experience Associate
“If you don’t try, you’ll never know,” says Paulina, who emigrated from Portugal to Sudbury with her family at a young age, an experience that taught her the power of hard work and determination. After receiving her diploma in Office Administration from Cambrian College, Paulina joined a local insurance company, where she quickly gained a reputation as a dedicated employee who always goes above and beyond. This sentiment followed her as she continued her career at RBC, working at the branch level as a banking advisor.
After 20-plus years in the workforce, in 2010, Paulina made the next exciting leap in her career: opening her own successful business, a yarn store that received a Bell Business Excellence Award from the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce. Having sold the thriving business five years later, Paulina found her way back to RBC, where she worked at the broader organization level before joining RBC Dominion Securities and Renelli Frescura Wealth Partners. Paulina now serves as the team’s first point of contact for all administrative needs, booking meetings, connecting with clients, and organizing events.
For Paulina, family has always come first. She adores spending time with her husband, Simone, as well as her two sons and their families. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, gardening, and cooking, especially for big family Sunday night dinners.
