Mark brings over 16 years’ experience in investing and wealth management to his role as Senior Investment Counsellor with RBC PH&N Investment Counsel where he provides comprehensive discretionary investment management services to high- net-worth individuals and their families.

Working exclusively with a select number of clients, Mark is able to develop deep personal relationships with his clients who value their direct access to him. With constant emphasis on communication, Mark ensures that each of his client’s customized portfolio strategies are continually refined to reflect changes in their unique circumstances and financial objectives, always preserving the delicate balance between growth and preservation of assets. He is also supported by a team of investment managers in key markets worldwide, each of whom are hand- selected for their expertise, as well as in-house tax, estate and financial planning specialists to ensure a holistic wealth management approach.

Prior to joining RBC, Mark managed Ontario-based commercial real estate portfolios, while also working for his family’s mid-market international business which has given him a personal understanding of his entrepreneurial clients’ wealth management and financial planning concerns.

Before Mark completed his MBA in Heidelberg, Germany, he worked in global currency trading for Barclay’s Capital in London, England. Returning to Canada and joining RBC PH&N Investment Counsel, Mark focused on commercial banking, specializing in providing owner-managed private businesses with corporate finance and succession planning advice. This role allowed Mark to build both an array of contacts and strategies to help him better serve high-net- worth families.

Mark completed the Chartered Financial Analyst® program and became a CFA® charterholder in 2007. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) at Queen’s University and his Masters of Business Administration at Schiller University in Heidelberg, Germany. Mark, his wife and son live in Halton. Among his numerous hobbies, Mark has a passion for skiing, boating and the outdoors.
