Leila provides discretionary investment management services to high net worth families, endowments, foundations, and not-for-profit organizations. Leila’s emphasis on client communication informs her assessment of each client’s risk tolerance and investment goals, resulting in an objective-oriented portfolio solution that is customized for each client’s unique profile and circumstances.
In working with her clients, Leila draws on her extensive prior experience as an Institutional Portfolio Manager with PH&N Institutional (a division of RBC Global Asset Management), where she specialized in managing investment portfolios for large pensions, foundations and charitable organizations.
Leila is a strong believer in philanthropy and giving back to her community; she is a member of the Investment Committees of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada and the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art, and previously served on the board of directors of the Women’s Musical Club of Toronto Foundation.
Leila has a B.A.Sc. in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo with degree options in Computer Engineering and International Studies ((Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands). She started her career as a Design Engineer with Nokia Mobile Phones in Denmark and upon returning to Canada, joined Deloitte’s Toronto-based Strategy & Operations Group as a Management Consultant working with financial services institutions. Subsequently, Leila held investment banking positions with a Toronto-based boutique investment dealer and RBC Capital Markets where she worked on mid-market corporate transactions.
Leila holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts. She is a Certified Ski Instructor and lives in Toronto with her husband and twin boys.
