As Senior Investment Counsellor for RBC PH&N Investment Counsel, Kathy Fazel provides comprehensive investment management for affluent individuals, their families, corporations and charitable foundations. She joined the firm in 2006, after working at a leading Canadian investment management firm for almost 15 years as a financial analyst and portfolio manager. Kathy obtained her Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1994, after graduating from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce Joint Honours degree in Economics & Finance.
Kathy works closely with a select number of clients to deliver highly personalized service using customized investment solutions. Clients value their personal relationship with, and direct access to Kathy, who in turn is supported by a team of investment, tax, estate and financial planning specialists.
With a long history of volunteering in the community, Kathy is Past President of the Board of the Foundation of Greater Montreal, after having chaired the Investment Committee and served as Vice President. She is also Governor Emerita at McGill University, after serving on the Board of Governors for over 10 years and sitting on a variety of committees including the Investment Committee.
In recognition of her significant contributions to the community, she is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. In 2018, Kathy received the Award for Jury's Special Choice by the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Quebec, to highlight her commitment to impactful volunteering. In 2020, she was named the winner of the Inspiration Award-Andrée Corriveau, by the Association of Quebec Women in Finance. In 2023, the McGill Alumni Association honoured her with the D. Lorne Gales Special Recognition Award for her contributions and achievements in service to the McGill community.
Kathy lives in Montreal with her husband, with whom she shares her passions for travel and long walks in nature.
