As the son of first generation Italians, John learned the value of hard work from the age of nine when he took his first job delivering newspapers – which proved to be serendipitous for his future career goals. "When I went to deposit my pay cheques at the bank, there was a poster talking about the power of investing early,” he says. “It still sticks with me today."
After passing the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) with honours, John joined a local investment firm during the height of the dot-com boom and spent several years gaining valuable skills and knowledge before moving to RBC as a financial planner in 2004. John’s commitment to his clients and exceptional level of service earned him recognition through several internal awards, including the RBC Annual Gold Award.
In 2017, John founded De Vincenzi Private Wealth Management, leveraging his background in financial planning and his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation to provide clients with wealth and investment solutions tailored to their unique needs. As a self-described “people person,” John loves that his work allows him to truly get to know his clients and their families on a personal level, helping them plan not only for their lives – both present and future – but also for the generations to come.
When not at the office, John loves spending time with his “better half,” Jill – an author, motivational speaker, and executive coach – and adult son, Matteo. On the weekends, John and Jill can be found exploring Vancouver on their Vespas, playing pickleball, or travelling to sunny destinations.
Associate
Sean is an Associate on the De Vincenzi Private Wealth Management team, committed to delivering outstanding client service. He plays a crucial role in fulfilling requests. As a liaison between the firm's operational departments, he collaborates closely with John to ensure prompt and efficient service to help clients achieve their goals.
A graduate of Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce, Sean is currently pursuing additional investment accreditations.
Hailing from an Irish and Hungarian background, Sean and his family moved to Vancouver in 2017 from Athens, Greece. Despite frequent relocations during his upbringing, Sean has found a sense of stability in Canada. His deep passion for sports and fitness drives him to stay active and outdoors whenever possible.
