A strong believer in lifelong learning, Mark graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Administration (finance), and has earned several professional designations. These include Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C.), Chartered investment Manager (CIM) and Portfolio Manager (PM).
Giving back is important to Mark, and he has served on a number of boards and committees, including the Rotary Club of Regina (President), the Mackenzie Art Gallery (President), Canadian Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity (El Salvador), World Junior Hockey Championship 2010 (VP Pre-Competition), Grey Cup 2013 (Vice Chair). Mark is also passionate about mentoring young people and has been involved in mentoring for most of his career.
In recognition of his community involvement, Mark has received such awards as the 2012 CTV Regina Citizen of the Year Award, the 2013 University of Regina Crowning Achievement Award for Distinguished Humanitarian and Community Service, the 2017 RBC Regional President’s Community Leadership Award and the 2017 RBC Global Citizen Award.
In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife of 37 years, Janice, and their three children, Nicole (Trevor), Matthew (Katie) and Vanessa, and three grandchildren, London, Meadow and Duke
