In 1981, Tom founded Foss Wealth Management of RBC Dominion Securities, which has become widely regarded as one of the leading wealth management groups in the country.
Since 1991, Tom has been a member of RBC Dominion Securities’ exclusive Chairman’s Council, which recognizes the top 65 Investment Advisors in the firm. Tom is an expert in providing his clients with individually-tailored wealth strategies. He uses his experience and industry knowledge to give clear, comprehensive advice and creates customized long-term wealth strategies for his clients. Tom has built a team of highly-skilled professionals who are extremely driven, creating an environment of excellence, motivation and superior service.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Calgary, and has been awarded the designation of Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI). The highest honour in Canadian financial services, the FCSI is reserved for professionals who lead the industry in education, ethical conduct, experience and peer endorsement.
Tom also strives for excellence outside of his professional life, and has been recognized as one of the most accomplished bow hunters in the world. Tom is married with six adult children and one granddaughter, and owns three rescue dogs. Together with his wife, Jennifer, they support numerous Calgary-based charities.
Mike is responsible for investment research and portfolio construction, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the discretionary Private Investment Management offering for Foss Wealth Management of RBC Dominion Securities. With his disciplined work ethic and advanced knowledge of Canadian and American equity markets, Mike creates customized investment solutions that help clients achieve their long-term goals.
After earning a diploma in finance at SAIT, Mike achieved the designation of Chartered Investment Manager (CIM). He is fully licensed to trade in all equity and bond markets, including options and alternative investment strategies.
Mike and his wife Lauren have two young sons and when they aren’t chasing after the boys, Mike is an avid mountain runner and ultramarathon racer.
Cameron joined Foss Wealth Management of RBC Dominion Securities in 2012, following a successful career as an Investment & Retirement Planner at RBC
Within his role as Associate Advisor, Cam specializes in Canadian markets, portfolio construction and risk management. His disciplined, rational approach to wealth planning is effective in guiding clients through turbulent markets and complex financial situations. With his knowledge of sophisticated trading techniques, he has a unique ability to manage risk, and his ability to explain the markets and execute strategies has helped build successful portfolios.
Cam has a degree in finance and economics, holds his options license, and has earned his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designations. Cam is involved in various athletic pursuits and was a former NCAA lacrosse player. Today, he gives back to his community by coaching several teams in the Rockyview lacrosse association. In his spare time, Cam has honed his skills as a keen fly fisherman and can often be found catching and releasing wild trout in many of the Alberta foothill streams.
Elese is a fully licensed Associate Advisor and received the FMA (Financial Management Advisor) designation in 2009. She graduated from university with a degree in music. Prior to joining Tom Foss’s team, she was the senior associate advisor to one of the top investment advisors in RBC Dominion Securities’ Vancouver office for 15 years.
Along with this tremendous experience, Elese has a unique ability to build and nurture client relationships far beyond the question of just what stocks to buy. Passionate about helping clients achieve their goals, Elese’s commitment to the highest standard of ethics, professionalism and service makes her a crucial part of the Foss Wealth Management Team of RBC Dominion Securities.
Away from the office, Elese, her husband and their two children enjoy going on many adventures. Her family also gives back to the community with their campaign – Kindness Rules – in which they distribute survival kits to the homeless.
Sacha began working for the team in June 2012. She earned a diploma in marketing from SAIT and is a fully licensed associate, having completed her Canadian Securities and Wealth Management Essentials courses.
Sacha’s strengths lie in her commitment to communication, which enables the team to achieve a high level of client satisfaction. She enjoys the day-to-day excitement of trading both bonds and equities, and assists in the process of building client relationships. Sacha has been recognized with many awards of excellence within RBC Dominion Securities.
As a former collegiate basketball player, Sacha maintains her insatiable drive for excellence and is always focused on helping clients achieve their goals.
Since joining RBC in 2013, Kristen has become one of the most successful closed end/international fund traders in the group. Her skills have allowed clients to build some unique positions in securities and reach their goals sooner.
Kristen majored in finance at the University of Calgary to complete a Bachelor of Commerce. She has completed the Canadian Securities Course and has received the options trading license from the Canadian Securities Institute.
Kristen is involved with Alberta animal rescue and is both professionally- and athletically-driven. She has played on multiple competitive sports teams, including the University of Calgary fastball team.
