Born and raised as a first generation Canadian-Filipino, the City of Thunder Bay has always been my home. By living in a smaller city, I used this as an opportunity to develop lifelong connections, grow both professionally and personally. I graduated from Lakehead University in 2019 with my Honors Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a major in Finance and Marketing. Prior to that, I attended Saint Ignatius High School for my Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
I began working for RBC Personal and Commercial Banking in May of 2018. During my time there I had taken on the role of an Advisor, where my primary duties were to provide clients with a consistent RBC experience centered on excellent customer service, advice on personal banking and credit needs, estates, and more.
I left the retail market to join RBC Wealth Management and Todd’s team at RBC Dominion Securities in January 2020. Committed to servicing client’s needs, my role is to assist Todd with account openings, client onboardings, marketing, referrals, tax packages, processing account transfers, deposits, and withdrawals – along with a range of other responsibilities.
Genelyn has successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course and will be looking to complete the Wealth Management Essentials course next.
