Rick Squires, CLU, CH.F.C., TEP combines experience in business with his passion for taxation to create unique financial models as part of the process of designing optimal estate plans for our clients.

Rick joined RBC Dominion Securities in the fall of 2004.  He applies his encyclopedic knowledge and creativity to the creation of solutions that meet the pledges that clients have made to themselves and those who mean the most to them.

Rick's background in the financial services industry spans over two decades.  He's a Chartered Life Underwriter, a Chartered Financial Consultant, a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner and has earned recognition as an estate planning innovator and an expert in designing executive benefit programs that enhance retirement income and minimize tax.  He subscribes to the respective codes of ethics and standards of conduct required by his professional designations.
Rick conducts detailed meetings with our clients as part of our team, as well as roundtable discussions with other members of the RBC Dominion Securities Team in order to share enhanced strategies to achieve income growth and reduce tax and estate liabilities.

Rick coordinates any technical advice with our legal and accounting team - and bridges to clients' traditional advisors.  He has a passion for and keen insight into the fields of corporate and charitable planning.

He is a registered member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners - whose head office is in London, England.

Rick, and his wife Joanne live in Sarnia with their three children.

 

Shannon Row-Ewing 

Will & Estate Consultant

Shannon worked in private practice for ten years before joining RBC in 2010. She specialized in the areas of Wills & estate planning, estate administration and real estate. Shannon graduated from the University of Guelph with a Honours B.A. and received her LLB from the University of Toronto in 1998. She is a Member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association Estates Section ( Ontario ) and the Oxford Law Society.

Shannon lives in Woodstock , Ontario with her husband and three kids.

Chris Delaney

Vice-President, High Net Worth Planning Services

Mr. Delaney obtained a bachelor of Arts degree in 1985 in Administrative and Commercial Studies (Finance) from the University of Western Ontario .  He received his Bachelor of Laws degree from Western in 1989.  He also received a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Windsor in 1995.  He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1991.

He has practiced variously in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, wills and estates, residential real estate and employment law.  He had his own private solicitor's practice from 1995 to 2002 in London .  He closed his practice in 2002 to join the Scotia private Client Group as Senior Will and Estate Planner.  Immediately prior to joining RBC Dominion Securities, Mr. Delaney was the Business Manager of two London-based fitness operations.  He is very excited to be working with RBC Dominion Securities as a Will and Estate Consultant.

In addition to being a lawyer, Mr. Delaney has taught Labour Economics, Estates, Business Law, Personal Finance and Introductory Accounting for Fanshawe Collegein London , Ontario .  He has also instructed at the secondary school level for the London Board of Education, St. Thomas District Separate School Board and a local private school.  He was also appointed to the Ontario License Appeal Tribunal as a panel member from 2001-2004.

He is very excited about being able to offer Will and Estate Planning ideas and strategies to the clients of RBC Dominion Securities throughout Southwestern Ontario .  This is an exceptional program that offers tremendous value for clients as they plan for the orderly succession of their assets, businesses and personal affairs.
