At RBC Dominion Securities, we know that “community” is something we all create. As individuals, families, businesses, and partners, our contributions to our community come back to us in spades, and enrich the lives of everyone in our region. We are always involved in activities, events, and causes that benefit Sudbury. Here are a few of the organizations we support.
Did you know that RBC is a National Partner with Canadian Blood Services? As an organization we pledged 1,250 blood donations. We're a network of dedicated donors and champions from across RBC who proudly support Canada's Lifeline. Book your appointment today by calling:

In recognition of International Women's Day in March , the Sudbury Branch of RBC Wealth Management is helping support and celebrate the women in Sudbury by making a $2,500 donation to the Genevra House. YWCA Genevra House is an emergency shelter for women escaping abuse from their intimate partners (including same-sex partners), as well as women 50 years and over who are escaping abuse from their live-in caregiver. Genevra House provides a safe environment for women and their children at critical turning points in their lives. We also provide support services which include crisis intervention, assessment, support, safety planning, referrals and counselling to both women and children affected by an intimate partner and live-in caregiver abuse. Women and children are provided with a secure and welcoming environment at any time, day or night.
The Sudbury Branch of RBC Dominion Securities donated $1500 to the Sudbury Food Bank. Our gift will make it possible for The Sudbury Food Bank to distribute emergency bags, consisting of non–perishable goods, fresh food and produce, personal care items, and essentials like baby formula, and diapers. It is one small way that we can support our local community during this challenging time. Banque d’aliments Sudbury Food Bank has sustained a valuable reputation in the community of Sudbury since its inception in 1988. BDSFB will continue to promote projects and initiatives that address issues concerning poverty and food insecurity. We are committed to upholding FBC and OAFB best practices and sharing the same to member agencies in Sudbury. We consistently strive to develop new partnerships to the benefit of our members. Our Board of Directors has pledged to translate every donated dollar into food on someone’s table.
The Sudbury Branch of RBC Dominion Securities donated $1000 to Meals on Wheels. Meals On Wheels (Sudbury) was established as a grassroots pilot project in 1971, with the intent to keep people independent in their homes by supplying daily hot nutritious meals. Today, we serve hundreds of local residents delicious and healthy meals every week thanks to our home delivery service.
The Sudbury Branch of RBC Wealth Management is proud to donate $2500 to our local CMHA chapter. CMHA – Sudbury/Manitoulin is committed to promoting recovery, good mental health and wellness in our community. Through the delivery of programs and services with a recovery oriented approach, CMHA builds capacity within the community in order for individuals to have an increased understanding about mental illness and mental health and obtain the support they are seeking.
The Sudbury branch of RBC Wealth Management donated $1500 to NISA. Many of us have faced stigma and discrimination because of our mental health history. Our involvement at NISA allows us to free ourselves from stigma, and become a person, first and foremost. We believe that as peers we have unique skills and perspectives to help others in their own recovery journeys, and we will support you as you rediscover your strengths. If you are ready to help yourself—and help others, too—then NISA may be the right place for you.
The Sudbury branch of RBC Wealth Management donated $1000 to Miles Against Cancer. When the acute treatment ends, the journey is far from over for the children and their families. Ongoing complications, constant worry, follow-up visits to Sick Kids and CHEO can all place significant burdens on those impacted by childhood cancers. We hope to raise awareness of the prevalence of paediatric cancers in Northeastern Ontario and support the children and families impacted by them through local research and patient care programs.
The Sudbury Branch of RBC Wealth Management is proud to participate in the annual All We Need for Christmas Fill a Crib Campaign by purchasing a crib and filling it full of various items for infants and children up to age two. The Pregnancy Care Centre and Infant Food Bank was established in 1996. Throughout the past twenty-five years, they have grown today to serve over 700 families with young children living in poverty in the Greater Sudbury area. Their mission is to meet the health, material and spiritual needs of expectant families or their children by providing information, education, supplies and support with compassion, dignity and respect. They are a non-profit, non-political registered charity, funded solely by donations from individuals, businesses and churches. This support enables them to offer valuable services at no cost to their clients or the government.
The Sudbury branch of RBC Wealth Management donated $1000 to the Neo Kids Foundation. The NEO Kids Foundation raises funds to support the health of children and youth in Northeast Ontario. Funds raised are used to help advance healthcare through the purchase of medical equipment, investments in capital, and other programs advancing patient care for children, youth and their families
The Sudbury branch of RBC Wealth Management donated $1000 to the Maison McColloch Hospice. Maison McCulloch Hospice is a one-level, free standing, 27,000 square feet building which provides 20 rooms with beds and individual bathrooms for residents that would benefit from a palliative approach to care. The unique architecture provides a residence which looks and feels like home rather than an acute or long-term care facility, and provides individuals with privacy yet open access to common spaces to interact with other residents and service providers. There is office space for health care providers and administrative staff, as well as a dining room and common living area for residents and family members. The building is fully accessible and includes the requisite technology, equipment, and supplies to provide quality 24/7 palliative care.
The Sudbury branch of RBC Wealth Management donated $3000 to the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee. The Junction Creek Stewardship Committee is a dynamic organization focused on the restoration of a large urban waterway in the City of Greater Sudbury. The Committee was formed in 1999 and became a Canadian registered charity in 2019. Their mission is to lead the way for improving and maintaining a healthy Junction Creek watershed by conducting research and monitoring programs to create understanding and inform sound decisions, organizing restoration activities to recover and protect the watershed, providing educational opportunities to share knowledge and promote its ecological, economic, and health benefits, and connecting the community with Junction Creek to empower long-term stewardship
If you know of an organization that is working hard to make our community a better place, we would love to hear about it.
