After four years of advising private clients in West Vancouver, Steve was appointed Chairman and Managing Director of RBC Dominion Securities Global. It was from Nassau, Bahamas and then from the Cayman Islands, that he managed the Caribbean operations of RBC Dominion Securities.
Steve returned to the Lower Mainland of Vancouver in late 2004, where he managed the New Westminster branch of RBC Dominion Securities until 2010. He capped off his final year in management by winning the National Branch Manager of the Year Award.
Steve holds various industry designations, and was the Canadian Security Institute’s 2001 Silver Medal Winner in the Partners, Directors and Senior Officers Course, receiving the second-highest mark in the country. Additionally, he presented as a panel member on the state of anti-money laundering and prevention of terrorist financing in the Cayman Islands to the International Monetary Fund in 2003.
Steve is one of a select group of RBC Dominion Securities Investment Advisors that are licensed Portfolio Managers, allowing him to offer the highest level of portfolio management service to his clients. He has the ability, and the tools, to custom-build a portfolio, tailored to your unique circumstances and needs, while freeing you from the day-to-day decision making that accompanies the management of your wealth.
Steve is actively involved in the community, and is a financial supporter of Cycling BC’s Hayman Classic Junior Road Provincial Championships. Additionally, he was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club of Kelowna, in recognition of financial contributions made to The Rotary Foundation.
When not in the office, Steve can be found riding the roads and trails of the Okanagan Valley on his road and mountain bikes, or exploring the hiking and scrambling routes of BC’s high alpine. Steve has been married to his wife Robin for 20 years, and they have one son, Hunter.
