As a Wealth Advisor and Financial Planner with RBC Dominion Securities, Paul offers a wealth of technical expertise and over 9 years of industry experience successfully managing investment portfolios for individuals, their families and private corporations. Working with Paul will provide you with the confidence and security of knowing your assets are managed with the highest degree of care and professionalism.

Paul attended Brock University in St. Catharines where he received a BA in Economics and Business Administration. After graduating, he was employed by one of the major Canadian banks as well as by a successful global securities firm before joining RBC Dominion Securities in 2009.

Understanding the importance of continuing and higher education, Paul has completed several industry courses earning the Certificate In Advanced Investment Advice and holds the Chartered Investment Manager as well as the Personal Financial Planner designations. He is also a CFP Level 1 Certificant and on track to acquiring the advanced industry Certified Financial Planner designation.

In addition to being securities licensed by our regulator IIROC, Paul is also options licensed. This allows him to fully service and provide sophisticated high level advice and foremot risk management to satisfy all of his clients' needs.

For those clients looking for opportunities to protect or enhance their wealth and income, Paul has completed the Life License Qualification Program which is part of the Canada licensing regime for life insurance agents.

Ryan Knipfel, CA, CFP
Financial Planning Specialist

Ryan is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Planner. He completed his Honours Bachelor of Business Administration at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. Ryan has completed as well as tutored the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course.

Prior to joining RBC in 2008, Ryan was focused on providing professional services to individuals and their owner-managed entities, specializing in tax and financial planning. During his career, he was also employed by a large public accounting firm where he advised on the tax consequences of corporate mergers and reorganizations.

Ryans role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans.

Suzanne Schultz, CA, CFP
Estate Planning Specialist

Suzanne Schultz is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Planner with a specialty in tax and estate planning.

As an Estate Planning Specialist for RBC, she uses her knowledge of corporate and personal tax to develop personalized insurance solutions to meet the needs of business owners, highly taxed investors, affluent families and other clients. Prior to joining RBC in 2006, Suzanne was the Associate Vice-President of the Tax and Estate Planning Group of one of Canada's leading multi-family office firms. She was previously a Tax Manager at one of the largest professional services companies where she completed her CA designation with an honour roll placing, and completed the CICA In-depth Tax Course. She has taken numerous courses on tax and estate planning, including masters level courses on U.S. taxes.

Suzanne is the co-author of 78 Tax Tips for Canadians for Dummies, host of the HGTV series House Poor and has been a regular guest on the Business News Network. She has written articles and contributed towards publications for the Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star and Hamilton Spectator.

Suzanne's areas of expertise include the use of insurance for personal and corporate tax planning, wealth preservation, financial planning, estate planning (including U.S. estate tax)

Catherine Nicholls, LL.B., TEP
Vice President and Will & Estate Consultant

Catherine received her Law Degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1978 and has been a member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1980.

She was a partner in a small law firm and primarily practiced law in the areas of residential real estate, Will and Estate planning and estate administration.

Catherine joined a major trust company as a Senior Will and Estate Planner in 1996 and has since then focused exclusively on this area of law. She continues to focus on Will and Estate planning with RBC.

She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate.
