Meet Grace Lai, Will & Estate Consultant
Grace received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia in 2000 and graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 2003. She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2004.
Prior to joining RBC, Grace practiced law in Vancouver - specializing in estate planning and estate administration. Most recently, Grace worked at a hospital foundation advising the charity on legal matters as well as its donors on charitable giving.
Grace is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Wills and Trusts Section Charities Section.
Grace's role is to work with and support Nick J Daniel and his team with information on structuring your estate in an efficient and tax-effective manner. Following your meeting, Grace will provide you with a report outlining various estate planning issues for you to explore in further detail with your own lawyer or accountant.
Meet Matthew Legget, Estate Planning Specialist
Matthew J. Leggett, CFP, CLU, RHU, is a valuable member of Nick J Daniel's team, helping to create and preserve wealth.
Matt employs a comprehensive process to assess client needs and recommends creative, tax-exempt insurance products that will help achieve wealth management objectives. For more complicated situations, Matt will partner with other professional advisors in the development of appropriate client solutions.
Matt can focus on both personal and corporate insurance planning designed to increase net worth and reduce the impact of taxation. Matt can also ensure that accumulated wealth is transferred to heirs and beneficiaries in accordance with client wishes. To help in this endeavor, Matt has access to insurance solutions from the top-ranked insurance providers in Canada.
Matt began his career in the financial services industry in 1995 and is an expert in his field. Matt graduated from Bishop's University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He has acquired the Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter, and Registered Health Underwriter designations.
Meet Heather Baker, Financial Planning Consultant
Heather has extensive experience offering comprehensive financial planning to clients and has been with RBC since 1994.
She holds her Certified Financial Planners designation through the Financial Planning Standards Council, as well as the Personal Financial Planning designation through the Institute of Canadian Bankers. She has also received the Certified Senior Advisor designation through the Canadian Academy of Senior Advisors.
Heather believes that a financial plan is extremely valuable in helping you achieve your goals for overall long-term financial well-being. It can provide you with a clear picture of where you are now and create a strategy for what you need to do, to have peace of mind for the future.
