Reading your Notice of Assessment
Tax time can be overwhelming. There are numerous tax reports to keep track of, which are generated at various times between January and March. The deadline for personal tax filing is April 30th, but the deadline for RRSP contributions is 2 months earlier, usually the first of March. The big question most people ask themselves is, “how much can I contribute to my RRSP?”
Shortly after you file your annual tax return, you will receive a Notice of Assessment (NOA) from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Click here to view our resource to help determine the amount you can contribute, how much you can deduct on your income tax return, and whether you’re in an over-contribution position.
