Mathieu Doucet has been working in the financial services industry since 2006. As an Investment Counsellor with RBC PH&N Investment Counsel, he provides discretionary wealth management services to high net worth individuals and their families, as well as to corporations and foundations in the Greater Quebec City Area.
Mathieu has held a range of positions in the financial services industry, starting with a university internship as a securities trader for an international firm. He then worked as an account manager and financial planner for wealth management clients at major Canadian financial institutions, including RBC.
Mathieu studied at the University of Ottawa and Université de Trois-Rivières and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance. He also completed the Financial Planner course with the Institut québécois de planification financière, and the Canadian Securities Course with the Canadian Securities Institute. Mathieu is a CFA charterholder, a designation granted by the CFA Institute. He is also certified as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). In addition, Mathieu has been a member of the CFA Institute and the board of directors of CFA Québec since 2014. He served consecutive terms as Vice-President (2014 to 2016) and President (2016 to 2018) of CFA Québec. He continues to be involved with the CFA as an administrator of CFA Societies of Canada, a pan-Canadian organization.
