A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, Jerrod obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and has continued his pursuit of knowledge achieving the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Financial Management Advisor (FMA), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Fellow of the Securities Institute (FCSI) designations.

Jerrod began his professional career in 1999 in the credit union system before becoming a partner in a Western Canadian privately owned investment firm acquired by National Bank of Canada in 2011. In 2015, Jerrod accepted an offer to join RBC Dominion Securities, and continues to provide professional investment management and planning for individuals, families and works extensively with institutional clients including non-profits, Hutterian Brethren and municipalities.

Committed to giving back to his community, Jerrod served two terms on City Council and was elected Mayor in 2009, pursuing innovative solutions and devoted tremendous energy to improve the quality of life for residents. Jerrod gained additional experience as Vice Chair of the Municipal Finance and Inter-governmental Arrangements Committee on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and Vice Chair of the Saskatchewan City Mayors Caucus. Jerrod retired from local government in 2016 to focus solely on his investment clients.

Jerrod was a Saskatchewan Ambassador at the 2010 Winter Olympics, awarded a Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal and named one of Saskatchewan’s top 40 under the age of 40. Jerrod keeps himself busy coaching hockey, playing golf as well as travelling and most of all, spending time with his wife Kelly and their family.
