Coady’s expertise includes tax and estate planning for business owners, professionals, executives, retirees and individuals with U.S. issues. He also assists individuals facing significant financial events (for example, sale of business, financial windfall, retirement, severing residential ties with Canada, etc.).
For more than 20 years, Coady has assisted high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families with their complex planning needs. Coady is a tax lawyer, and he has occupied his current planning role at RBC since 2008. In providing planning information to clients, Coady frequently communicates with their external professional advisors.
Coady’s educational background includes a law degree from Dalhousie University as well as the completion of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada’s) In-Depth Tax Course (Levels I, II and III) and the CPA Canada’s Tax Issues for the Owner-Managed Business Course. He is a member of both the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta Branch (South)) Tax Specialist Section. Also, Coady was called to the Bar in Alberta and Ontario. Further, in addition to his finance degree from Bishop’s University and the completion of the Canadian Securities Course, Coady is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Russell Kane brings over 26 years of experience to his role as an Estate and Trust Advisor to the Southern Alberta market. His depth of knowledge, coupled with his professionalism and dedication to client service, serves him well in dealing with the complexities of estate settlement.
Russell provides tailored solutions to help individuals carry out their many executor duties, expedite the settlement process, and maximize the estate’s value through knowledgeable handling of estate and tax issues. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Calgary, and works with allied professionals to keep abreast of current issues involving estate planning.
Russell understands that the role of executor is a difficult one and will take the time to make sure that clients are aware of the complete range of estate and trust resources offered by RBC. He helps executors to identify where RBC can help to lift the burden of an executorship, whether in a simple administrative capacity helping with specific tasks, or in a more comprehensive manner carrying out the entire estate settlement process on their behalf.
As a highly skilled Estate and Trust Advisor, Russell can discuss estate settlement and administration services, trustee services, trust structures, and other specialized services offered through RBC Royal Trust. He works with individuals, families and businesses who wish to protect their assets and transfer their wealth for generations. Clients also appreciate his sensitivity to the often difficult decisions and sometimes overwhelming responsibilities that can go hand in hand with the role of executor.
Active in his community, Russell is the President of the Rotary Club of Calgary Centennial, the Treasurer of the Kinsmen Club of Calgary Foundation, and a member of the Calgary Stampede Lotteries Committee. He served as Board Chair and Director for the Big Brothers and Sisters, Peace River region, and for the CanLearn Society.
As a Premier Banking Advisor for the Calgary area, Jacky works as a single point of contact, providing banking and credit solutions for select clients of Wealth Management Canada and their families. He partners with Investment Advisors and Counsellors across the Region, and provides personalized service and tailored advice, to efficiently manage their day-to-day banking needs.
Jacky's formative years were spent in Britain. After graduating there, he moved to Hong Kong where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics & Marketing. Later, he immigrated to Alberta, Canada, and acquired a Diploma in Financial Services from the Bow Valley College in Calgary. His global education, and experience at RBC over the past few years, have equipped him well for the Premier Banking Advisor role.
Jacky has since settled in Calgary, AB, and gives back to the community through volunteering activities with the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Organization, and tutoring at various High Schools in the area. He is also fluent in Cantonese. His hobbies include hiking in the Summer; playing soccer; reading and travelling.

Mr. Tao brings over 14 years of experience in Financial Services, he is specialized in creating sophisticated banking packages, a full suite of personalized credit and cash management solutions for his clients and their families. He then draws on a team of RBC and external experts who assist with investments, commercial banking, and domestic and international trust products, to create a uniquely personalized banking experience.
To ensure personalized service and attention to detail, Mr. Tao works with a limited number of clients and their families. This focused approach allows him to spend more time creating tailored banking solutions for his client, when necessary, he will work with his clients' own business, tax and legal advisors to deliver comprehensive, integrated financial solutions.
Mr. Tao holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Finance concentration. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, which informs the financial planning he brings to his clients.
Outside of the office, Mr. Tao enjoys traveling, biking and spending time with his family and friends.
Lei brings over two decades of professional experience to her current role as Private Banker, International where she and her team provide high net worth individuals and families with integrated holistic advice through comprehensive and customized wealth management solutions, including:

Lei has extensive and dynamic experience in multiple fields. Prior to working in the financial industry, Lei had a successful career in the IT industry. She started her career in finance as a Financial Security Advisor at London Life providing insurance solutions and investment advices to individuals, families, and helping small business owners set up group benefit and retirement plans for their employees. She then worked at Pavillion Investment house in the position of Private Wealth Associate responsible for investment analysis and wealth planning for High-Net-Worth families. She joined RBC in 2017 as a Relationship Financial Planner helping Mass Affluent Clients achieve their financial goals.
Lei has a BE in Computer Science from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, a MA in Marketing from University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, UK, and a diploma of TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) from STEP Canada. Lei holds the highly respected Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) title, the gold standard of the investment industry. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and works efficiency in French.
A passionate contributor to community, Lei is actively involved in local Canadian Chinese running club advocating healthy lifestyle.
In her free time, Lei is a competitive marathon runner, enjoys backpacking around the world with her husband.
