Portfolio Manager
“From age 14 onwards, I’ve always had my own business,” says Fred, a hard-working professional whose first official enterprise was called Entech, through which he provided manufacturing companies services ranging from manual labour to computer and database installation. This period started Fred’s lifelong pursuit of continual development and growth, and he’s since lived many lives.
Never bogged down by the status quo, Fred has followed his curiosity from venture to venture, which have varied vastly from mechanical engineering studies at the University of British Columbia to working as a cowboy in the Nicola Valley. During his time as a working cowboy, Fred also started a horseshoeing business. He says that showing up on time, as promised, was key to his building a growing horseshoeing clientele over the course of the following decade, and some of those clients have followed him to his next vocation in the investment and wealth management world.
Fred joined RBC Dominion Securities and founded Feistmann Wealth Management in 1999. Always striving to earn the trust of the families he serves, Fred is proud to make a profound difference for people, and is honoured to be invited into a private part of their lives. Fred draws significantly on his personal history of continual reinvention to help his clients take their own leaps. “Half the issues I’m solving for people, I’ve had to solve for myself,” he says.
In addition to more than 20 years of experience, Fred brings extensive education to his work. He has been recognized by the Canadian Securities Institute for his academic accomplishments in the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Professional Financial Planning Course (PFPC), and the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) Course. He has earned Awards of Excellence, which are only presented to the top 1% of the candidates across Canada. Fred has also completed the Options and Futures licensing courses, and has his Life Level II insurance license. Beyond that, Fred has deepened his understanding of maximizing people’s potential through Kolbe Certification courses and is a graduate of the World Wide College of Auctioneering.
When he is not working, Fred enjoys skiing and mountain biking with his two young sons, Mason and Connor, and his wife, Charlene.

Fresh out of Simon Fraser University, holding a bachelor’s degree in communications, Erin took a job – and, with it, a leap – as a fishing lodge manager in historic and verdant Haida Gwaii, B.C. “You meet amazing people from all walks of life,” recalls Erin. “No two days are the same.” When Erin made the move to the world of wealth in 2009, starting as a senior associate at another major financial institution, she was happy to have found a lot of overlap in these areas. “That’s the fun part of this job, chatting with different clients with all different backgrounds and learning about their lives.”
Erin joined Feistmann Wealth Management in 2012, bringing her curiosity, attention to detail, and resourcefulness to the team. As our steward of client experience excellence, Erin excels at connecting the dots, and then seamlessly filling the gaps between them. “She’s the glue,” as Fred puts it. Erin ensures all client communication commitments and portfolio administration are executed in a timely and accurate fashion. She also liaises with RBC’s wealth management specialists, engaging the full resources and capabilities of that group to help develop comprehensive, tax-efficient strategies for our clients.
In her off hours, Erin enjoys spending time – especially outdoors – with her husband and their two young children.
Mike has been in the finance industry for approximately three decades, including eight years as an investment retirement planner/financial planner. He joined RBC in 2004, and the Feistmann Wealth Management team in 2014.
Mike works in collaboration with Fred to manage and review all aspects of client portfolios, trade execution, and investment research, liaising with RBC’s Portfolio Advisory Group to capitalize on the firm’s depth and breadth of research analysis. He also develops various financial and estate planning strategies for our clients.
A key component of what makes Mike excel in his work is the time he takes to get to know clients on a deeper level, and it’s also one of his favourite parts of the job. “We have the privilege of working with some really amazing people, and they’ve got some incredible stories,” he says.
A graduate of the University of Calgary (bachelor of economics), Mike has earned the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Personal Financial Planner (PFP), and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations, demonstrating mastery of a broad range of practical portfolio management and advanced investment analysis skills.
Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and their two grown children, especially doing activities like camping and hiking. Mike likes to stay active: a three-time Ironman Canada triathlon finisher, he has recently taken up dirt biking with his son.

Michele began her career in the financial world at the age of 17, starting as a teller with RBC. It was there she began to hone her communication skills and love of learning about people’s individual stories. Michele says, “I made a lot of connections in that role and continue to be in touch with some of the people I met over the counter to this day.”
While continuing to work at RBC, she attended Thomson Rivers University, earning a bachelor of business administration with a major in accounting. Always looking to continue moving forward, Michele dove right into using her degree by landing a position with a national accounting firm. She also earned her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designations during that period.
The lure of the financial world resurfaced, and Michele returned to RBC in 2015, accepting the role of Financial Planner. Fred says, “We worked closely with Michele during her time as a Financial Planner, and it was apparent to us how dedicated and excited she was about always seeking ways to have a bigger impact on people’s lives and helping them develop a clear path forward.” So, it was a natural fit when Michele joined Feistmann Wealth Management in 2023. In collaboration with the team, she works directly with clients to develop and implement both wealth management strategies and investment portfolios that support and align with their vision of a bigger future.
A self-professed “city girl” born and raised in Kamloops, Michele now lives on a cattle ranch with her husband, Scott, son, Parker, and dog, Zoey.

Tushika developed a fascination with the financial industry at a very young age. Hailing from the tropical island of Mauritius, her early career involved spending five years as a Senior Corporate Associate, where she managed a portfolio of client-focused services related to foreign direct investment and cross-border activities in the financial sector. Tushika immigrated to Canada in 2020 where she continued her career in Retail Banking and joined Feistmann Wealth Management in January 2023.
A lifelong learner, Tushika completed a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Investment from University of Mauritius and is an MBA graduate from Thompson Rivers University.
Tushika brings her extensive and valuable experience with business strategy and customer relationships to the team. Her role centers on building client relationships and using her organizational skills to facilitate the timely and successful completion of client requests, internal team projects and administrative tasks.
Outside of work, Tushika blends her passion for international travel with a drive to help others – she has spent time volunteering in Vietnam, facilitated by the International Volunteer HQ organization. She also enjoys swimming and diving.
Born and raised in the Cariboo and growing up on a 40-acre hobby farm, Shannon pursued her agricultural interests right out of high school by travelling to Europe on an International Agricultural Exchange for a year. Upon returning to Canada, she took a leap in a different direction and joined RBC Royal Bank in Williams Lake. It was during this first role with RBC that her attention to detail, ability to identify patterns and produce consistent results were recognized – she was quickly moved from the teller line to an internal role.
After 17 years with RBC Royal Bank, Shannon joined Feistmann Wealth Management in 2024. With her keen eye for small improvements, she brings her natural ability to foster growth and positivity in personal and professional relationships. Shannon is often the first point of contact for those who phone in, working diligently to fulfill client requests and ensure our internal processes are executed in a consistent, timely manner. In thinking about delivering on promises and process Shannon notes, “I love being able to work in a routine and feel accomplished when everything works out according to plan at the end of the day.”
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Shannon enjoys hiking the hills of Kamloops and the thrill of tipping over the edge of the local mountain biking trails with her husband Chris. She also enjoys sewing and knitting and spending time with her family.
