Avideh Parent is an experienced lawyer with a strong commitment to educating people on the importance of estate planning. Avideh is a frequent presenter on Wills and Estates for organizations such as the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the City of Edmonton, Next Step Continuing Education, and the Edmonton Community Foundation. Avideh also has been featured on Global TV, Shaw TV, and various financial education websites.
Avideh received her undergraduate degree from Carleton University and went to Law School at the University of Alberta. In 2001 she was called to the Alberta Bar and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta. Avideh holds the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, granted through the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Prior to joining RBC in 2012, she devoted her law practice to Wills, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration.
Avideh is also very active in the Latin dance community, and enjoys travelling the world to perform and compete with her husband in salsa dance competitions.

Russell Kane brings over 26 years of experience to his role as an Estate and Trust Advisor to the Southern Alberta market. His depth of knowledge, coupled with his professionalism and dedication to client service, serves him well in dealing with the complexities of estate settlement.
Russell provides tailored solutions to help individuals carry out their many executor duties, expedite the settlement process, and maximize the estate’s value through knowledgeable handling of estate and tax issues. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Calgary, and works with allied professionals to keep abreast of current issues involving estate planning.
Russell understands that the role of executor is a difficult one and will take the time to make sure that clients are aware of the complete range of estate and trust resources offered by RBC. He helps executors to identify where RBC can help to lift the burden of an executorship, whether in a simple administrative capacity helping with specific tasks, or in a more comprehensive manner carrying out the entire estate settlement process on their behalf.

He works with individuals, families and businesses who wish to protect their assets and transfer their wealth for generations. Active in his community, Russell is the President of the Rotary Club of Calgary Centennial, the Treasurer of the Kinsmen Club of Calgary Foundation, and a member of the Calgary Stampede Lotteries Committee. He served as Board Chair and Director for the Big Brothers and Sisters, Peace River region, and for the CanLearn Society.
