Ryan is the trusted leader and visionary behind Edgington Wealth with nearly two decades of financial services experience. As senior portfolio manager and wealth advisor, he spearheads our team’s proprietary portfolio strategy and business development plan to ensure our clients benefit from a seamless and straightforward approach. Ryan cares deeply for the well-being of those he serves and encourages his team to seek personalized solutions to address their every financial need. And as the Tri-Cities’ only certified Responsible Investment (RI) Advisor, he is uniquely equipped to protect our clients’ wealth today while ensuring they have a positive impact on our world tomorrow.
After earning a Bachelor of Commerce from Royal Roads University, Ryan deepened his financial knowledge and expanded his skill set by obtaining the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designations, both of which empower him to serve the sophisticated needs of his clients. Prior to becoming an investment advisor Ryan built a successful career as a financial planner, helping clients achieve their short and long-term goals.
Ryan was born and raised on the West Coast and now calls Coquitlam his home. Outside of the office, he is a dedicated family man and enjoys spending quality time – especially outdoors – with his wife, Ashley, and their two children, Nolan and Mia. He is also an endurance athlete, having completed several marathons and triathlons. Actively involved in the community, Ryan is a Scout Leader and supporter of various foundations and charities.
Heather has over 30 years of financial services experience and today serves as one of Edgington Wealth’s key relationship managers. As associate wealth advisor, she leverages her innate curiosity, comprehensive command of finances, and natural talent for investment analysis to bring our clients’ visions to life. This includes the thoughtful design, planning, and implementation of investment strategies and wealth planning solutions to ensure clients meet their goals through retirement, tax, and estate planning. Underpinning it all is Heather’s desire to act as a trusted guide to help clients flourish.
Heather is an accomplished professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong dedication to staying on top of industry trends, proven in her completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) Course, and the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course from the Canadian Securities Institute. In her previous roles centred around investments, she gained an all-encompassing understanding of the ever-changing nature of the markets and sharpened her analytical and interpersonal skills.
A native of Calgary, AB, Heather moved to Vancouver in the late ‘80s after falling in love with all the city has to offer. She has a daughter and granddaughter that she enjoys spending time with, and also likes to bike, hike, go to the gym, and act for enjoyment. Heather is also involved in fundraising for KidSport BC and Covenant House, and contributes her time to mentoring women business owners through the Futurpreneur Canada mentorship program.
Scott is our wealth planning team lead and a key relationship manager at Edgington Wealth. A dedicated associate wealth advisor, he works diligently to establish a trusting relationship with those he serves, always seeking innovative wealth strategies to help clients plan for important life events and exceed their goals. He truly enjoys working to find comprehensive solutions for people from all walks of life, and his friendly and inviting demeanour has led to many friendships with clients that he holds near and dear to his heart.
Scott holds the Personal Financial Planner (PFP) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designations, both of which empower him to provide the very best advice in all aspects of our clients’ wealth. Prior to joining our team, he was a successful financial planner with RBC Royal Bank for over 20 years, an invaluable experience that solidified the need to understand a clients’ unique situation in order to develop a sustainable, long-term strategy.
Scott grew up in Burnaby, BC and now resides in Maple Ridge with his wife, Stacey, and their son, Ben. He enjoys staying active and is particularly passionate about golf, along with pickleball and hiking the beautiful trails around the city. Scott and his family, many of whom work in healthcare, are strong supporters of the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation which directly serves the needs of the community in which they live and work.
Diba is a skilled and knowledgeable professional who supports Ryan Edgington and his clients as the first point of contact. She thoughtfully addresses client inquiries, arranges review meetings, and prepares comprehensive materials that cover all aspects of financial, estate, and risk management planning. She assists in the preparation and execution of financial plans, leveraging her collaborative mindset. In addition, Diba provides personalized financial advice and support to a select group of clients for Edgington Wealth. Diba enjoys building meaningful, long-term relationships with clients by supporting them through various life events and assisting them along their financial journey. In her previous professional roles, she learned how to think outside the box and address client inquiries with a close attention to detail.
Diba earned a Bachelor of Physics from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) and a Master’s of Condensed Matter Physics from Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) before being drawn to financial services. Building a strong educational base, she has also completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) Course, the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) Course and the Financial Planning Supplement Course (FPSU). She has also recently received the Certificate in Advanced Financial Advice (CAFA) from the Canadian Securities Institute. She is currently working toward the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
Diba grew up in Iran and immigrated to Canada in 2017 to continue her studies. She and her husband, Victor, now call British Columbia their home, and they enjoy cooking for and hosting their friends, hiking, camping, and playing beach volleyball.
Kate is a financial services specialist with nearly a decade of experience, working alongside Heather and her clients as a first point of contact. As an associate advisor, Kate expertly handles a variety of key tasks including trading, requesting funds, handling inquires, and scheduling meetings. Kate takes great pride in building trust and rapport with our clients, and she is determined to have a positive impact on their lives by ensuring their needs are met and questions are answered in a timely fashion.
Kate is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She has also completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course from the Canadian Securities Institute. Before joining our team, Kate served as a senior analyst at a leading global investment banking, securities, and investment management firm where she honed her technical skills and ability to simplify complex data into meaningful information for clients.
Kate grew up in Russia until her family moved to British Columbia when she was eight. Today, she is a homebody but also loves staying active outdoors and going to the gym. She is happy to have her dad and mom nearby in Vancouver, both of whom have built successful careers and are proud to have created social communities with Ukrainian and Russian immigrants.
Marina is an experienced associate with over three decades of financial services experience, supporting Scott Hughes and his clients as a first point of contact. From account documentation and money transfers to withdrawals and meeting scheduling, Marina offers the highest level of client care in everything she does. She is a true team player and works diligently to make the lives of our clients as simple and straightforward as she can.
Marina is a graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) with a diploma in marketing management. She has also earned the Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation from the Institute of Canadian Bankers, and has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) through the Canadian Securities Institute. Prior to joining our team, Marina served in progressively senior roles at other leading Canadian financial institutions.
Marina grew up in Vancouver and moved to Coquitlam, BC with her husband in 1998. They have been married for over 30 years and have two beautiful daughters, Sarah and Alicia, and a fluffy white dog named Zoey. When not at the office, Marina regularly does CrossFit, enjoys writing biographies – she is currently finishing up her father-in-law’s life story – and likes to cozy up to a good book. She also volunteers as a Sunday school teacher, sings on the music team, and dedicates her time to various charities.
Mohamed is a dedicated and talented financial services expert with over a decade of industry experience. As our team’s primary trader, he is responsible for trade execution, in-depth markets research, and portfolio monitoring. He finds great joy in the dynamism of his role, and is passionate about relieving our valued clients’ stress and ensuring they’re on track to meet their short- and long-term goals.
Mohamed earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Financial Management from Longborough University in England. Committed to professional development, he has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) Course from the Canadian Securities Institute. He has also completed Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. A certified scuba divemaster and commercial diver prior to joining our team, Mohamed sees many similarities to wealth management that he leverages in his role, from big-picture thinking and resilience to risk management and timely decision making.
Mohamed grew up in Cairo, Egypt and moved to Canada in 2019, quickly falling in love with the country’s beauty and mystery. Outside of the office, he participates in several sports including weight training, cycling, volleyball, soccer, diving, and skiing in the winter. He also enjoys exploring local restaurants and remains active in the community, volunteering his time and resources to support the settlement of newcomers to Canada from Arabic-speaking backgrounds.
Leeann began her career in the financial services industry as a teller, while attending university, and worked her way through the ranks to become a Team Operations Manager. Leeann draws on her 26 years of experience, including previous positions as Branch Operations Manager and Manager, Client Care, to develop comprehensive wealth management solutions for clients. Leeann’s expert knowledge and credentials help ensure sound advice, expert execution and peace of mind for clients who need solutions for broad and complex wealth management needs.
In her current role, Leeann is responsible for team and operational management, and she remains committed to building relationships with both colleagues and clients, and helping them achieve their goals. To that end, she provides access to a comprehensive range of services to help clients build and protect their wealth.
Leeann grew up in Maple Ridge and graduated from the University of British Columbia, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts with a major in History. Away from work, she is a “soccer mom” to two daughters and an amateur foodie. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, traveling and enjoying the many restaurants in the Lower Mainland.
