Derek is the son of entrepreneurs and fully understands the discipline, hard work, and dedication required to build a strong, successful business. Derek is a seasoned investment professional with over 20 years of experience in managing clients’ wealth.
He works with successful entrepreneurs and their families to create tailored wealth management plans supported by appropriate, purpose-driven investment strategies. Recognizing the many unique challenges of managing family wealth, Derek seeks to help his clients simplify complex financial issues with understanding and precision.
Passionate about helping business owners thrive, Derek ensures they have properly outlined their objectives and have a clear plan in place to achieve them. He leads a team of specialists who provide the highest level of service and advice on an ongoing basis.
Derek is actively involved with RBC Race for the Kids to support youth mental health. He also serves as a subcommittee board member with Pallium Canada, focused on building professional and community capacity to help improve the quality and accessibility of palliative care in Canada.
In his downtime, Derek enjoys spending time with his wife and their two boys on the golf course, on the ski hills, or watching their kids play hockey in the arenas around town.

After a successful 10-year career in commercial banking at RBC, François decided to put his skills to work managing the wealth of business owners. As a Commercial Banker, he advised clients on business succession, mergers and acquisitions, and business growth strategy. He understands the challenges that owners face while managing their business.
Curious by nature, François asks thoughtful questions to develop a deep understanding of each client's needs and wishes so he can provide the best advice possible. His background in education allows him to clearly articulate the rationale behind his recommendations and ensure that clients know the path forward.
François is a La Cité Collégiale board member and served on the board of the Regroupement des gens d’affaires de la Capitale Nationale from 2015 to 2021. Away from work, François enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children, whether skiing, sailing, mountain biking, or enjoying a nice swim at the lake.

He began his financial industry career with RBC Dominion Securities in Branch Operations and joined our team as an Associate in May 2022. Driven by his passion for supporting clients in achieving their lifelong dreams and building stronger financial futures, Connor is dedicated to helping each client along their financial journey.
Proactive and attentive, Connor focuses on delivering exceptional service while building meaningful, long-lasting client relationships. He also holds a degree in Business Management from Dalhousie University.
