Rebecca Reiger, CPA, CA
Financial Planning Specialist
Rebecca is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with over 15 years of post-designation experience. She graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, specializing in Accounting. Rebecca has also completed all three levels of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ In-Depth Tax Course, and the Advanced Tax Course for Owner-Managed Businesses.
Prior to joining RBC, Rebecca was a senior manager in the tax department at one of the leading international public accounting firms. In her previous role, she worked with private companies, high net worth individuals, trusts and partnerships. Her work included tax minimization through appropriate tax planning (corporate and personal, including estate planning) and corporate restructuring.
Rebecca’s role is to work with and support your RBC advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans, and to identify and assess any related financial, tax and retirement planning concerns you may have.
Tim Squire, FCPA, FCGA, CFP, CLU, FMA
Financial Planning Specialist
Tim has been working in the financial services industry since 1992 both as an advisor and a specialist, where he assisted advisors with providing high-quality financial planning services to their high-net-worth clients.
Prior to joining RBC, he was a Financial Advisor offering investment and insurance solutions while providing comprehensive financial planning guidance and advice to successful executives, farmers, business owners, professionals and other high net worth individuals. Joyce Burnett, B.Sc., LL.B, TEP
Will & Estate Consultant
Joyce Burnett graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island with a B.Sc. and from Dalhousie Law School with her Bachelor of Laws. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 1986.
Prior to joining RBC, Joyce practiced law exclusively in the areas of wills, estate planning, estate administration, trusts, and charities law for ten years. She has taught professional continuing education seminars for the Legal Education Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association.
Joyce is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Canadian Bar Association Wills and Estates, and Elder Law Subsections. She has spoken at many public and private seminars on the importance of estate planning, including planning for incapacity and succession. She is a regular speaker during Edmonton Wills Week, sponsored by the Edmonton Community Foundation.
Avideh Parent, LL.B., TEP

Avideh Parent is an experienced lawyer with a strong commitment to educating people on the importance of estate planning.
An accomplished public speaker, Avideh is a frequent presenter on Wills and Estates for Avideh also has been featured on Global TV, Shaw TV, and various financial education websites.organisations such as the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the City of Edmonton, Next Step Continuing Education, and the Edmonton Community Foundation.
Avideh received her undergraduate degree from Carleton University and went to Law School at the University of Alberta. In 2001 she was called to the Alberta Bar and prior to joining RBC, devoted her law practice to Wills, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration.
Avideh is also an active member of the following organisations: Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP); Wills & Estates Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association; Elder Law Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association; Edmonton Estate Planning Council; Oliver Centre Board of Directors.

Specializing in estate planning, Colin is able to provide innovative and tax efficient solutions to various wealth management issues. Additionally, he is able to focus on personal and corporate solutions while addressing needs related to estate preservation, excess taxation and farm and business succession planning.
Colin began his career in the insurance industry in 2002 working for a national wealth management firm, focusing on investment management and insurance solutions. He joined RBC in 2011.
Attending the University of Regina’s Faculty of Administration, Colin completed his degree in 2002. He has earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designations. He is also a member of ADVOCIS, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, which is the oldest and largest voluntary professional membership association of financial advisors and planners in Canada.
Colin lives in Saskatoon with his wife and daughter. He is very active in community organizations and volunteers numerous hours throughout the year with a variety of community service groups.
Coady Cormier, B.B.A. (Finance), LL.B., TEP

Coady has assisted high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families with tax and estate planning since 1992.
His guidance supports clients in their relationship with their external professional advisors, with whom he frequently interacts.
His expertise includes tax and estate planning for executives, business owners, professionals, retirees and those individuals with U.S. issues.
Coady’s background includes the CICA In-Depth Tax Course (Parts I, II and III), a law degree from Dalhousie Law School and a finance degree from Bishop’s University. Called to the Ontario Bar in 1992 and the Alberta Bar in 1998, Coady honed his expertise as a tax, legal and estate professional in private practice, in government and while with a trust company.
Coady is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Canadian Bar Association (Southern Alberta Branch, Tax Specialist and Wills Sections) and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (Canadian Chapter, Calgary Branch). He holds a Full Life Insurance Licence in Alberta.

Valerio Ferrari serves clients throughout the Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northern Alberta territory and is located in the Edmonton office. Valerio provides a wealth of knowledge relating to trusts and their administration. With a career focus on client relationships, he is dedicated to his clients and provides a personalized service tailored to their specific needs.
A graduate of Northern Alberta Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Accounting, Valerio has continued to deepen his knowledge and expertise with key industry designations including the Professional Financial Planning (PFP) and Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designations.

As a Premier Banking Advisor for the Greater Edmonton region, Ann Edwards works as a single point of contact, providing banking and credit solutions for select clients of RBC Dominion Securities and their families. Partnering with Investment Advisors across the region, she provides personalized service and tailored advice to help clients save time and effectively manage their day-to-day banking and credit solutions.
Ann has been with RBC for over 30 years, and prior to her current position worked for five years as a Private Banking Associate. In this previous role, she worked closely with high-net-worth clients to identify their needs and provide day-to-day banking and credit solutions.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Queen’s University. In recognition of her achievements, she has received numerous quarterly and annual RBC top performer awards.
Committed to giving back to her community, Ann has volunteered at charities such as Little Warriors and Employabilities, an organization that helps those with disabilities find fulfilling employment. Ann also volunteered in Malawi in 2015 to help build a primary school, and is looking forward to hosting a Rotary Club Exchange student in 2017.
Ann was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario, and moved to Alberta in 1997. She is married with two children and three step-children, and enjoys reading, skiing, hiking, travelling and visiting art galleries.
