Scott brings his 25 plus years of financial services experience to the clients he meets, including 18 years in public practice (six years as a Partner) with a local accounting firm. He has worked with clients in the areas of tax, estate and business strategy including family business succession planning. Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management Services, Scott provided services for four years to RBC clients as a Commercial Account Manager, focused on owner-managed business and agriculture clients, and four years as a Private Banker, assisting high net worth clients with personal banking, credit and financial planning needs. Scott is member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, and the Financial Planners Standard Council. 

Stephen Wiffen, CFP, CLU, ChFC

Estate Planning Specialist

Working closely with Craig, Stephen employs a comprehensive process to assess your wealth management needs and then recommends creative, tax-exempt insurance strategies to help address them. For more complicated situations, he works with your other professional advisors in the development of appropriate solutions.

Stephen Wiffen can focus on both personal and corporate insurance solutions to help increase your net worth, reduce the impact of taxation and secure your wealth through a variety of life insurance, annuity, and living benefits solutions. He can also assist you in structuring your insurance contracts to ensure your wealth is transferred to your heirs in accordance with your wishes. To help you receive high-quality, cost-effective insurance solutions, Stephen evaluates various insurance offerings from Canada’s top-ranked insurance providers.

Steve graduated with a BES (Bachelor of Environmental Studies) from the University of Waterloo in 1984 and entered the insurance business that same year. He has acquired the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations which recognizes his specialization in life insurance and estate planning.

Previous to joining RBC in 2006, Steve worked both in his own practice and as a Living Benefits and Regional Insurance Specialist, providing consultation to advisors at a different organization.

Shannon Row-Ewing, B.A., LL.B.

Shannon works closely with Craig to provide you with information on structuring your estate in an efficient and tax-effective manner. Following your meeting, Shannon will provide you with a report outlining various estate planning issues for you to explore in further detail with your own lawyer or accountant.

Shannon worked in private practice for ten years before joining RBC in 2010. She specialized in the areas of Wills & estate planning, estate administration and real estate.

Shannon graduated from the University of Guelph with a Honours B.A. and received her LLB from the University of Toronto in 1998. She is a Member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association Estates Section (Ontario) and the Oxford Law Society.

Shannon lives in Woodstock, Ontario with her husband and three kids.
