With more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Cory has worked with a wide-ranging network of high-net-worth clients across the country, including entrepreneurial families, executives, medical professionals, athletes and beyond. While his clientele is diverse, Cory recognizes that each family is unique: not only in terms of how their wealth has been created, but in the expectations and goals they have for their financial future.
Financial planning is the cornerstone of Cory’s specialized wealth management practice. Coupled with a disciplined approach to active portfolio management, his team focuses on building financial frameworks that are easy to understand in order to help clients navigate even the most challenging market conditions. Backed by the strength and stability of RBC, Cory is able to offer boutique, personal service similar to a family office, in addition to the vast resources of an industry-leading firm.
Cory is dedicated to establishing trust in every client relationship, guided by the conviction that trust must be earned, not simply discussed. He works to ensure that each client feels comfortable and confident not only in the management of their wealth, but as an active and informed participant with a customized communication and reporting schedule.
Prior to joining RBC Dominion Securities, Cory worked as a Manager, Financial Planning with RBC Royal Bank, where he was responsible for a team of Financial Planner’s who managed approximately $4.8 billion in assets. A graduate of Wilfred Laurier University, Cory holds an Honours Business Administration degree. He has also obtained the advanced industry designations of Personal Financial Planner (PFP) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM).
Outside of the office, Cory can often be found in hockey rinks with his family or coaching minor hockey in his spare time. He counts playing alongside Wayne Gretzky when volunteering with the Wayne Gretzky Foundation as one of the most meaningful experiences of his life. Cory has also previously volunteered his time with the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the Easter Seals.
