Backed by more than 30 years of experience as a Wealth Advisor, Claire’s practice is focused on client service, and building long-term relationships with clients, their families and business interests. Claire is committed to providing sound financial advice with a personal approach. She helps clients achieve their financial goals through disciplined investment management and effective financial planning.
Claire partners with a team of professionals, including Kirk VanBlarcom, CPA, her husband of more than 25 years, to ensure each client’s financial, income tax and estate planning needs are addressed in a timely, cost-effective manner. She works with several Welfare Benefit Trust and Pension Plan clients, drawing on expertise from her Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and Dalhousie University.
Claire obtained her bachelors degree from Acadia University in 1988, Claire has also obtained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Canadian Investment Manager (CIM), Financial Management Advisor (FMA) and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC) designations.
Outside of the office, Claire enjoys spending time with her husband and their Labrador retriever, Oliver Abernethy. She also enjoys staying active, boating, skiing, travelling, and cooking with her family and friends.
