If you wish to leave your estate to your family without problems that could arise after your death,   you need to take the legally right process. Depending on the type and size of the estate, tax burden could be very large and your family might not be able to receive as much estate as you were hoping.

This is why estate planning is a necessary process. RBC Wealth Management provides the following services.

Asset Protection

Protect the value of your estate and prepare for unexpected expenses, such as injury and decease, through living benefits insurance, segregated funds and insured annuities.

Wealth Transfer

Maximize the wealth you pass on using tax-effective insurance strategies, charitable giving solutions, and trust services.

Estate Settlement

Assist you with communication with beneficiaries, valuing, managing and selling the estate, and the distribution of the estate according to the terms of the Will if you've been appointed as an estate executor.

These services could be ideal if you:

  • Want a way to grow your assets while ensuring a payout for your beneficiaries

  • Are concerned about protecting your estate's assets and your income in the event of  a disability, critical illness or long-term care situation

  • Need a tax-effective way to transfer your wealth to your beneficiaries

  • Need a way to meet the tax obligations of your estate and other estate settlement costs without liquidating or eroding your estate's assets

  • Want to make a one-time or ongoing gift to a charity or not-for-profit organization

  • Have been appointed as executor for an estate and need assistance with some or all of your duties
