Caroline Gauthier is an accredited Portfolio Manager who has been helping high net worth investors realize their financial ambitions since 1989. She has achieved distinguished designations such as the Chartered Financial Analyst, and since joining RBC Dominion Securities in 2005, she has been a member of the Chairman and Executive Council; an elite group of the firm’s leading Portfolio Managers and Advisors. Caroline’s broad array of expertise includes discretionary portfolio management and Investment Counselling for Private Client USA. She provides a holistic approach that combines wealth management services such as financial planning, estate planning and insurance-based wealth solutions. Her meticulous approach to portfolio management and preparing financial models has earned her a tremendous amount of recognition and referrals from her clients.

Over 25 years in the Investment industry, Sue excels at building strong relationships. She is known for her people skills, ease of communication, discretion and professionalism. Knowing that clients are heard and understood is Sue’s top priority.

Sue has been working with Caroline since 2006. Together, they complement each other with their proficient work ethic and added value approach. Prior to joining RBC Dominion Securities, Sue was an Associate to the Managing Directors of the Sales and Trading Departments, Institutional Equity.

She is licensed as a Registered Investment Representative with the Canadian Securities Institute and is dedicated to all her clients by ensuring they each receive personalized service regarding their accounts in a timely and efficient manner.

Deborah graduated from l’Université de Montréal in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Science and a minor in Economics. Soon after graduating, she began her career with RBC Dominion Securities by joining the Branch Operations department. With great enthusiasm, she accepted a role as an Administrative Assistant in 2010.

Always looking to grow and challenge herself, Deborah completed the Canadian Securities Course in 2012 and obtained her license as an Investment Representative.

She joined Caroline Gauthier’s team in early 2014 as an Associate.

Michel Bétournay

Financial Planner

Michel Bétournay, Financial Planner, obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (major in accounting) from HEC Montréal in 1991, and earned the Financial Planner designation from the Quebec Institute of Financial Planners (IQPF) in 2002. Michel joined RBC Financial Group in 1993, and has 9 years’ experience as a Financial Planner, 7 of which were spent with the Compass Financial Planning team.

Michel’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans for clients.
 

Émilie Jean-Baptiste

Émilie obtained her Bachelor of Law degree in 2006 and her Notarial Law degree in 2008 from l’Université de Montréal Faculty of Law. Prior to joining RBC, Émilie was a Notary in private practice and since 2010, she was a Will and Estate Advisor for RBC Estate & Trust Services. In that role, she worked with clients and their families to develop multi-generational estate plans.

Émilie works closely with your advisor to provide you with information on structuring your estate in an efficient and tax-effective manner.
 

Daniel Duchesne

Financial Security Advisor

Daniel began his career in the insurance industry in 1993 and has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Laval University. He has earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Financial Planner (Fin.Pl.) designations. He is also a member of APFF (Association de planification financière et fiscale du Québec) and IQPF (Institut québécois de planification financière), and is pursuing a Specialized Graduate Diploma (D.E.S.S) in taxation at HEC de Montréal. Daniel Duchesne can focus on both personal and corporate insurance solutions to help increase your net worth, reduce the impact of taxation and secure your wealth through a variety of life insurance, annuity and living benefits solutions.
 

Audrey Lapointe

Senior Trust Advisor

A graduate of the Université du Québec à Montréal with a degree in law, Audrey went on to obtain her D.D.N. (Notarial law diploma) at the Université de Sherbrooke. Audrey has continued to deepen her knowledge and expertise and most recently earned her Master of Taxation. She is also working towards her Quebec Financial Planning designation to complement her academic and practical expertise. Audrey works with individuals, families, and businesses to provide customized estate, trust and incapacity solutions. Whether it is helping someone to settle an estate, establishing a trust to ensure the successful transfer of family assets, or arranging to assist with the administration and responsibilities for a Mandate In Case of Incapacity, Audrey can help.
