For more than 20 years, Coady has assisted high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families with their complex planning needs. Coady is a tax lawyer, and he has occupied his current planning role at RBC since 2008. Coady’s educational background includes a law degree from Dalhousie University as well as the completion of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada’s) In-Depth Tax Course (Levels I, II and III) and the CPA Canada’s Tax Issues for the Owner-Managed Business Course. He is a member of both the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta Branch (South)) Tax Specialist Section. Also, Coady was called to the Bar in Alberta and Ontario. Faisal specializes in tax and estate planning for high net worth families.
Prior to joining RBC, Faisal was a tax senior manager with a mid-size accounting and advisory firm, as well as with a multi-national accounting firm. Faisal’s expertise includes tax and estate planning for high net worth individuals and families, professionals, and business owners.
Faisal is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and his educational background includes the completion of the CICA’s in-depth tax course (Level I, II and III), a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Victoria, and a Masters of Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan. He is also a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.
John Simes, JD

John attended the University of Manitoba and received a Juris Doctor in 2002.
Prior to joining RBC, John worked with a prominent national law firm and a large trust company where he gained extensive experience in estate administration, Wills, trusts, powers of attorney and personal directives.
John is a member of The Law Society of Alberta, The Canadian Bar Association and The Calgary Bar Association.
Victoria Schneider, JD, TEP

Vickie (Victoria) Schneider obtained both her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Calgary. Vickie is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
Prior to joining RBC, Vickie practiced law at a national law firm where she advised clients on estate planning and tax matters including Wills, trusts, enduring powers of attorney and personal directives. Vickie also has experience with estate administration and charity matters.
Vickie is a Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Calgary Branch Committee member.
Lauren obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary’s University and her Juris Doctor degree from Dalhousie University. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and is currently enrolled as a student member with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, working to obtain her Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP) designation.
Prior to joining RBC, Lauren’s practice focused primarily on estate planning matters including Wills, personal directives and powers of attorney, as well as trusts and estate administration matters. She also has experience in estate litigation and family law.
Russell Kane brings over 30 years of experience to his role as Regional Trust Advisor to the Southern Alberta market. His depth of knowledge, coupled with his professionalism and dedication to client service, serves him well in dealing with the complexities of estate settlement.
Russell provides tailored solutions to help individuals carry out their many executor duties, expedite the settlement process, and maximize the estate’s value through knowledgeable handling of estate and tax issues. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Calgary, and works with allied professionals to keep abreast of current issues involving estate planning.
Russell understands that the role of executor is a difficult one and will take the time to make sure that clients are aware of the complete range of estate, trust and charitable resources offered by RBC. Active in his community, Russell is an active member and past President of both the Rotary Club of Calgary Centennial and the Kinsmen Club of Calgary, the Treasurer of the Kinsmen Club of Calgary Foundation, and Chair of the Calgary Stampede Lotteries Committee.
